Topic: Greenlee's Sailing Attire

Additional Comments: I turned the show on just when she arrived at the dock with Ryan to go sailing.  I had to laugh because most sailors do not wear gold jewelery and I think might change into shorts and tennis shoes.  She seemed a bit overdressed!!

All I noticed was that Greenlee looked like a flea standing next to Ryan on the dock. When they do *real*, non-studio shots you can really see the difference in height between AMC's *little women* and the men.

Granted they were dock side , or whatever.   Yet those photo shots of Ryan sucking in the sea air and a vast amount of water in the  background, led us to believe they were ''out to sea'', wink wink. ;).  Ol POP eyes, the sailor man is alive and well. :)

Ryan and Greens sailing outing was not planned ahead of time.  They were both already at the waterfront for other reasons and did not know they would be sailing.  I doubt it would have been realistic for her to run home and change her wardrobe.

Sooooooooooo unrealistic - I'm no sailor, but boat's don't sit in a crowd of other boats w/ the sail unfurled.  If the writers are going to bother with outdoor scenes they really must pay some attention to detail or it becomes a total distraction.  Maybe a canoe called 'blue sky days' would have done the trick - or a blow up raft.  Ryan has enough hot air to fill a couple blow up rafts.

And Greenlee could have at least rolled up her long long pants - it called such attention to the fact that she's a shrimp and must wear stilletos.

  • You make very little sense. Crafts such as that seldom venture far from shore. Especially rentals because they neither have power or navigating instruments. Roll up her pant legs? Only if she planned to dip her feet in the water. As for the shrimp comment, well what else can us shorties do to keep from looking up at everybody but wear heels? It's not like we can push ourselves away from the dinner table or go to the gym for the extra inches.

Was anyone else hoping the sailboat's beam, or mast or whatever it is called, would swing around and knock Ryan overboard, or at least senseless? Or senseless and overboard? It could have knocked Greenlee overboard, too.

What ever , she was still disrespecting Ryan and Annie's marriage, she just doesn't care. Because she was hurt , she can't hurt Kendall because Zach wont sleep with her so she will go after Ryan and hurt Annie. After all any man will do.I can already tell she will have sex with him. Maybe she and Annie both will get pregnant.  Gross!

  • Greenlee and Ryan are friends. Both of them needed a friend right then. Ryan is the one married to Annie and if HE doesn't respect it then why should anyone else? If he'd rather be with a friend than with his wife then why put the blame on the friend? Ryan and Annie are pretty much over. She's going downhill very quickly. I just pray that it doesn't spell a reunion for Ryan and Greenlee. eom/ky
  • Even if Ryan doesn't respect his marriage, others should respect it, because it is the right thing to do. Greenlee wouldn't respect the fact that he is married even if he did respect it. I have no love for Annie, but Ryan is married. If he respects it so little, he should get a divorce, and in the meantime Greenlee should STFU. and stay away from him. She would drop her tiny panties for him in a heartbeat if he asked.
  • And spending the afternoon TALKING to your friend is disrespectul of their marriage? She is Ryan's friend not Annie's and if he wanted to unload about his situation then of course she would listen. Why should she care more about Ryan's marriage than he does? Why should she care more about Annie than he does? So far she is not trying to take him from Annie and I hope she never does. eom/ky
  • Okay d, if you think that Ryan doesn't respect his marriage and should get out of it then what is your problem with him spending time with his friend? And if Greenlee knows he isn't thrilled with his situation then why wouldn't she be there for him if she wants?
  • Greenlee isn't there for him... Greenlee is there for Greenlee
  • I see nothing wrong with Greenlee being supportive of Ryan as a friend (he is going through a hard time). And.. he remembers Greenlee and Kendall and not Annie; it would be only natural for him to turn to familiar friendships. It would be awful (in real life) to loose part of your memory and not remember your spouse. You would know you are causing pain and it would eat at you. Talking with friends you remembered might help. JMHO....
  • Because she knows how Annie feels about her spending time with Ryan, friend or not as a fellow woman she should respect Annie's feelings. She enjoys every minute of sticking it to Annie./goldie
  • I think you just want another opportunity to stick it to Greenlee. If you are really that concerned for Annie's feelings then you should be taking issue with how the man she loves and the man who promised to foresake all others for her is acting. Why on earth would you expect Ryan's friends to care more about his wife feelings and needs than they do his? And as for Greenlee only being there for Greenlee....She is the ONLY Pinevalleyite who ever owns all their faults. She is always first to admit when she is being selfish, spoiled or b*tchy. And while they were on that boat, Greenlee WAS interested and concerned for Ryan's situation and she made it clear. eom/ky
  • She also said or pretended to be Annie's friend. And if a friend of mine felt uncomfortable with me spending time with her husband then I would not do it. It is called respect./goldie
  • Didn't watch during the other Greenlee time period but I do know that MY Greenlee has only tolerated Annie. Your take on this reminds me of the wives who snatch their husband's lovers bald and then drag their husbands home. I always want to ask them *which one of these people lied to you and cheated on you? Which one owed you respect? And which one can turn around and hurt you again?* eom/ky

I don't think she planned on going sailing.  I kind of thought they were borrowing - aka temporarily STEALING - that boat.  She just happened to run into Ryan and they just happened to see a boat named Blue Skies so they just thought it'd be fun to go out for a spin (does one take boats out for a spin?).  It might be I'm just getting old, but this show really condones all kinds of violence and criminal activity lately.

  • Thanks for clearing that up for me. Like I said I had turned on the tv late and missed the stealing part! eom. Terri
  • I got the impression they rented the boat, or Greenlee bought it, from the dialogue Greens and Ryan exchanged. The transcript indicates that she rented it for the day, actually. Suz
  • Greenlee rented the boat for the afternoon. She said as much. The wrongful act that day was Zach beating a handcuffed man. eom/ky
  • Tks for clearing that up! Makes more sense. I don't listen closely when Ryan's on. I guess Zach's police-approved beating filled that episode's bad deed quota. eom MarkD

Did they even go sailing, or did they just remain tied up at the dock?  We only saw close-ups of them sitting in the boat, no signs of unfurled sails or being out on the open water.  Yes, there were some waves in the water, but it was a windy day, so even a boat tied up would move slightly from that.  I swear they were just sitting there tied up, going nowhere fast.

  • ...there was a brief shot of them on the water...but all the rest of it was just them, squattin' in the boat, probably tied to the dock. It was rather amusing, wasn't it?!...buddz
