From Kate Brown's column, and I so agree. I thought the cancer would mellow JR but he is still a smart ass brat.

Cancer or not, I have had it with this little punk. He decides not to tell Adam about the cancer. He gets angry when Adam misreads his symptoms and thinks he is drinking again. Clearly the fact that Adam was drugged makes no impact on him. It’s odd because didn’t JR run Amanda down with his car while he was drunk? I guess his “under the influence” counts but Adam’s doesn’t. Little punk with a boring wife.

What irks me (one of the many things I guess haha) is his whole speech the other day about how he didn't like who he was, how he was a jerk and not in a happy place and now after the cancer he has a fresh start and can really focus on being a better man with Marissa's help (BARF). Then the next day he goes and gets into it with Adam, same old bratty JR? What the...?

They have to be the most boring couple in the history of soaps. Marissa is drab and dull, and there is zero chemistry between this couple.

It also irritates me that the writers chose to not have JR tell anyone about his cancer. What does that prove? He wants everyone to think he is still drinking? What a ridiculous storyline. We're supposed to believe that JR is able to go in and out of Pine Valley Hospital for chemo and no one notices? Bunk.

I totally agree. What in the world was the point of JR having cancer? Unless maybe it comes back and they do a story on it then. It made no sense to me. EOM..LightLover
