Additional Comments: Look for a Santos family return or at least a partial one. Eva La Rue is signed for a return as Maria, plus Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa will be returning as Mateo and Haley. These returns will all air during the 40th Anniversary episodes on January 4-5th. Taping for those shows began this week. That is also the point of return for Rebecca Budig, who was kind of backhanded in her take on her upcoming return to the role of Greenlee. While talking with Julie Hanan Carruthers (Exec Producer of AMC) about a possible return, she made it clear that she was interested in the Greenlee “we all know and love – or USED to know and love.” She loves the set up of Ryan being involved with Erica (Stepmom hell!).
Who was your date to watch the Emmys? I’ll bet it didn’t top Jill Larson’s (Opal). She missed former co-star James Mitchell (Palmer) so much that she flew out to California just to visit with him and watch the Emmys together.

Aww... thats nice that Jill (Opal) watched the Emmys with James (Palmer). It would be nice to see him back on the show for the anniversary episode along with the old gang (Daisy, Nina, Cliff, etc.) ... those were the good old days :)

Message: I wish when Greenlee comes back she will completely shun Ryan and Kendall and have nothing to do with either of them. If Aidan could stay and she could realize he was the one she really loved all along and tell Ryanass to stuff it.

Erica is NO MORE Greenlee’s stepmother than she is JR’s stepmother, even though she was married to JR’s father twice. Editors need to stop tying Erica to a marriage that no longer exists, as it gives a skewed view to Erica’s independence.
But I have read elsewhere where Rebecca Budig has said she loves going head to head with Susan Lucci and is looking forward to their scenes as she loves the set-up where Ryan is dating her arch-rival.
Fact is AMC has always valued the Erica/Greenlee relationship.
