Additional Comments: Thorsten Kaye was guest hosting on The View. When they were demoing new tech gifts they had a vacuum cleaner and part of the demo was an Australian Shepherd. He sat on the chair and comforted the dog and was just so sweet and natural with the pooch - so he's definitely aces with me forever! The guy is great with kids and dogs! If they'd just write his character to be like the real guy...

I taped it cuz someone was kind enough to say he was going to be on The View! :)

I just finished watching it and I almost died...that man is such a sweetheart!  More concerned with everyone else before himself...and that comforting of the dog just warmed my heart!

I've always been a fan of Thorsten and as much as I hate Zach (stupid writers!) I am going to be sad to no longer see him every afternoon ;)

That man is amazing.  What a wonderful human being.  Well done, TK!  Class act for sure.

This is the first chance I got to post today. I wanted to praise him for comforting that pup. THEN at the end of the show there was Joy trying so hard to get HER piece of cake when Duff was talking (how dare he NOT cater to Joy, lol). All the while there's Thorsten handing out pieces of cake to all who were behind him.

One of the nicest men on TV!

  • Yep..I remarked about Joy's selfishness too..Whoopie didn't want that cake poked by her...let alone have every layer cut til Joy found a flavor she'd accept...SOOOOOOOOOOOOO rude..the night show pretty much sucks--if somebody takes her notes she'll not be able to speak!..that would be nice...but better her at night being an idiot on her OWN show v. her rude obnoxious contribution to the View panel! He threw himself into this craziness...lol...Whoopie makes sense, Sherri makes sense, Joy is obnoxious.  She told him--INFORMED HIM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS..that women dress for other women not for men...well you cannot make such a sweeping statement.  I dress for ME...which is why I'm sitting here in oversized sweats and sox!  LOL...but when I actually get dressed...it's for myself..my style, my comfort, and how I think I look...TO ME.

To answer him about something else, Joy also spoke of her sneaky ways of lying to people with whom she has relationships.  Really?  Lovely.  She says women have to protect each other...what planet is she from and what makes her think she's EveryWoman and that all women lie to men in order to protect their women friends.  Really?  REALLY?

Thorsten was sweet...and not like Zach...original good Zach or current hard-to-take Zach.  he was somewhat befuddled by the women...and amused...and observant.  That's what I saw.

He is apparently a poet..I did not know that...has done 2 books and the one he currently wrote for children...to raise money for pediatric cancer...was shown.  Very nice.

They said he's the first male panelist they've had.  He's very brave.  And he was wearing his AMC wardrobe..that's right..the dark pin stripe jacket and the grey shirt and grubby.  Hubba hubba.  Self deprecating it seems.

Ya' wanna know what they gave everyone in the audience today since it's Whoopie's birthday?  Okay..everyone got Steven King's new book...a new water pik/toothbrush thing...a sweeper...Bissell...with the turbo brush for pet hair..I have one of those (older model)..actually I have 2..this one has a dog brush though...think I'll get one..my dog sheds twice a year:  April thru September and October thru March...and they gave a camcorder, a Toshiba laptop, a 40" RCA TV, and the Ace of Cakes book...Thorsten played with the gadgets.

Then he danced to Kool & The Kang with Whoopie and Sherri.  So cute!  Groovin'.  I guess Joy has no rhythm...or she can't let loose unless she's in charge--because she didn't dance (thank you lord).  TK shook hands and hugged all the band members.  Very affable, friendly guy.

Then came the Ace of Cakes cake...with Whoopie's cat Oliver in cake ..and champagne for all...of course Joy stuck her finger in and broke the cake before Whoopie had a chance to cut it..rude as usual....(you get the impression I don't like Joy?) --Whoopie didn't even want it cut...then Joy made the Ace cut each layer so she could pick which type she wanted and she refused everything he gave her...he said, "Joy you're killing me!"...yeah..that's rude Joy.  It's Whoopie's birthday but it's gotta' become all about Joy.

I digress...that's it folks...that's TK's hosting day on The View...one of these days I'll find a job and won't be able to sit and watch this stuff!!

  • I loved seeing him as himself, I can't stand Zach so seeing TK on the view was fun, that dog sure fell in love with him :) I like Whoopie and Sherri, can't stand Joy she is obnoxious, I have never liked her. I tried her new show, didn't like it./goldie
  • buddz I'm happy to accept the job...of course if they pull the plug on my internet I'll have a problem! lol...hopefully I can manage!! SORAS

Of all days, I missed that.  Would love to have seen him.  I like his role in AMC. He can be a great guy and he can be a bad guy.  I kind of like never knowing which one he's going to be.  It all depends on what's going down with his and his kids' lives.
