Erica in prison has become FF material for me! Now as a result of being paired with her, so has Samuel. I fast forwarded through most of their scenes, and just caught the end with the  ''kiss''. Romantic? Not to me!  I thought the whole scene was so contrived and hoaky, and besides, who ever heard of  '' my wife died on 9/11''  being a ''pickup line''?

We've had ''grief sex'', now I guess we have ''grief kissing,'' which will probably lead to ''grief sex!'' Like daughter, like mother!  Come on, writers, can't you do any better than this?

Who said it is grief kissing? Erica unlike Kendall have not slept with her friend’s fiancée. In addition Erica is NOT married and living with a husband or even in a relationship, NO she is NOT with Jack. Erica is a free agent don’t you see the huge difference?

Wow putting the cart before the horse and comparing apples with oranges – NICE! How is Erica’s kiss with Samuel (who she has been sparing with for a sometime) and Kendall’s sex with Aiden the same. Kendall’s ONS with Aiden is much more similar to Greenlee’s ONS with Josh – ONE NIGHT STANDS OF SEX. /Kgal

I meant Samuel when I said ''grief'' kiss, NOT Erica! Two seconds before the lip-lock, Samuel had been talking about his dead wife, not exactly the fodder for a romantic interlude, IMO! Whether or not Erica is married is not the point. The point is, the man was obviously in pain about his wife, and Erica was more than happy to ''comfort'' him immediately with a kiss! Thus the term ''grief'' kiss! As kendall and Aidan hooked up because of ''grief'' sex, ( corny, just like Erica/Sam's kiss, if you ask me), but there you have it. If it wasn't a grief kiss, then what provoked it, right after Samuel spoke about his dead wife? I suppose it could have been Erica's and Samuel's exquisitely romantic surroundings. I know a dark isolation cell in a prison is always a big romantic turn-on for me. Perhaps THAT was the reason for the kiss? Either way, IMO it was hoaky and innapropriate after the conversation they had just had. And I was offended by the using of 9/11 to promote this cheesy tasteless interlude! Hope I have clarified this for you.

You were talking about Samuel but you wrote ‘Like daughter, like mother’ as if Erica’s ‘grief kiss’ was tantamount to Kendall’s ‘grief sex’. The comparison was uncalled for as the situations are not the same. Then again you said you caught the end with the kiss, but you talk about the conversation they just had. I don’t see Sam & Erica putting a ‘label’ to their kiss. Seems like a spur of the moment kiss from two people who have been flirting with each other, then suddenly found themselves alone in close encounters./Kgal

If you caught the last part of their conversation, which touched on different matters, you would realize it was not about 9/11 but about Sam’s wife. 9/11 was just a minor part of the dialogue and how his wife’s life ended but there were more about who his wife was.

Do you know that Jack prosecuted Erica twice and his first prosecution sent her to a MAXIMUM Security prison? Both prosecutions came after he told her he loved her and after he slept with her, several times. Still Erica was put back with Jack after he put her behind bars and again after he tried a second time. This is worst to me than a woman (Erica) kissing the man (Sam) who prosecuted her, with no previous history of ‘love’ between them. Wow, I had no idea. I knew they have had problems since Day 1 but didn't know about the prosecutions. It sounds like Jack has been knocking back some of those pills too. Not many men would keep running back to a 2 time convicted felon...Heidi

Exactly! So why is it you think Erica should stick with Jack, who has no loyalty to her? All the things mentioned in this one little response area are HUGE vengeful actions of a man that ‘truly loves’ a woman. Jack could have recused (sp) himself from Erica cases but he did not and he admitted to using Bianca to punish her for not choosing him – oh poor Jackie…

Because they have a love/hate relationship, always have. They have done terrible things to each other. But who else would love them? They are bonded for life./goldie

Don’t see it that way, Jack is supposed to be a ‘wonderful’ man so a love/hate relationship does not fit with who he is. He never believes he does anything wrong. There is a serious problem with that. I don’t believe in the Jack & Erica relationship at all.
