I agree on all counts...nearby Janet who previously had been periodically visited by loving Amanda doesn't even know about the first pregnancy and the arrival of Trevor.

What SHOULD have happened is that the LAWYER went along to the procedure..wherever that would be...to protect Amanda's interests.  It was to be at PV Hospital--where apparently Jake was on duty so he wasn't really planning to take time from work---WHICH MAKES NO SENSE...OF ALL TIMES TO TAKE TIME OFF THIS WAS IT...he just said "I'll see you at the hospital." 

But then there's a last second change to an out of town clinic...again OF ALL TIMES FOR SOMEONE TO BE WITH AMANDA!...and he trusts David to be the only one with Amanda?  Liza and Tad were right there.  If Liza couldn't go along (which should have been arranged in advance) then Tad could have gone.  ANYBODY could have gone if Jake had to work.  Call KWAK, call Opal (who's now gone but we don't know that), call ANYONE...or call Angie and tell her there's a situation and he's got to take off a few hours...it's not like Jake seems to have regular patients...he seems to wander around being an on-call type of doctor....ER or something.

This storyline is written so badly--- the writers think that we are the stupid ones.

I happen to know Jill Larson (Opal) is still taping with AMC so do not editorialize about things you don’t know about. Viewers will see Opal in the future, you can count on that.

I wasn't editorializing...at all. Since she's not making the move to LA I assume we won't see a lot more of her and we ceratinly have NOT seen her in QUITE some time. So while I'm thrilled that you know Jill Larson personally (please tell her I'm a fan and always have been) I was only stating that they certainly could SAY they're having Opal do this and that even if we do not currently see her. If we see her shortly...grand. If she ends up in LA or doing something on a recurring basis...lovely. I did not editorialize and frankly I have no idea what your point to me was unless it was just to let me know you're a personal friend of Jill Larson.. and so that makes you what? Her #1 fan? I don't have to know her personally...I love her...and will miss her if she's NOT part of AMC in the future. Wouldn't it have been NICE to have Erica talking with her best gal pal lately rather than having no one closer to being in her peer age group with whom to interact...aside from the whole Ryan-Cougar thing...wouldn't it be nice to see Erica having lunch with Opal again? Huh? Opal always keeps Erica straight and frankly I was hoping she'd step in where Myrtle left off in being one of the wiser folks in PV. I miss Opal. A lot. Is that editorializing to say I miss her or is there a board rule that we must only objectively comment on AMC? If that's the case then what's the point of this board? I don't get it..this wasn't even a topic about Opal and yet you hone in on the small comment I made as if I have doomed her to some sort of hell. The point was to let everyone know Opal is NOT gone as you said. Your words in brackets after Opal’s name is editorializing. You advised that Opal was gone, in the midst of your comment, but that (your edit) is NOT true. She may not have been seen recently but she is still taping with AMC. There are still episodes to tape and air before the move to LA. I just happen to know viewers will see her a FEW more times in PV again before the move so she is NOT gone. I never said I was Larson’s # 1 fan or that I knew her personally. Good to hear you are a fan too, I was not arguing against that and it does not take from the details that you got wrong that Opal was gone. Apologies if you did not mean she was gone from PV, but gone from somewhere else not stated. My post was meant to inform (that Opal was NOT gone) not insult, so don’t feel insulted. Peace!

That whole delivery of Amanda's baby was not planned well, either by the writers or the characters, imo. And why couldn't Jake have switched paternity tests? Llanview Hospital allows anyone to do it! LOL eom/Jenny

I meant Opal will be gone since the list is out of who's going to LA and Jill Larson wasn't on the list...when I said we're not supposed to know that I meant we're not supposed to think in terms of ABC TV and a move to LA and which actors are going to LA...we're supposed to be living in Pine Valley-land so to speak...so in Pine Valley-land we know nothing about the future of any of the Pine Valley people...so I am sorry if my comment wasn't clear and you took it to mean something I did not intend...I also believe we are miscommunicating about the definition of editorializing because in this reply you now say edit and to me those are different things...NONE of which matters anymore...okay to all ..and Peace Out.
