I went shopping today and I didn't have to pay any taxes on my purchases.
An entire weekend without taxes. Woohoo!

Message: Yeah, it seems late this year. Wasn't it usually the first weekend in August? Anyway, we already got most of our school stuff but a lot of stores were having EARLY Tax Free sales....May still pick up some school supplies since they're included this year and maybe a couple of things here and there, but no major fighting the crowds for us this year.

Message: Sounds good, but don't get used to it. As a CPA, I can tell you that next year, taxes are going up for everyone.
