At this time of year many of us begin to think about our gardens.  With that in mind, here's a little quiz you may enjoy.  I will come back later in the day to post the answers.

Apparently several of them have more than one answer. For instance the watermelon, tomato, etc... Berries are also FRUIT... Eggplant might be related to a thistle but it is also a member of the Nightshade family (as are tomatoes and potatoes and PEPPERS), fun trivia though! /Gma b@s

3. How did the magnolia get its name?  Because it's MAGnificent?

4. What plant’s name, derived from the French, means "lion’s tooth"?  Shoot--I ought to know that one--oh, oh, what about Dandylion?

5. The name of what flower means "fleshlike"?  Sounds gross, whatever it is.

6. What is the world’s tallest grass, which sometimes grows 130 feet or more?  Bamboo

7. What is the name of the technique whereby plants are grown in water?  Hydrophonics

8. Eggplant is a member of what family?  hmmm--potato/tomato?

9. What works better than Dramamine for motion sickness?  ???

10. What do oranges, lemons, watermelons and tomaotes have in common?  They're all fruits with the seeds inside?

11. What is the world’s most widely cultivated plant?  Guessing here--rice?  Wheat?

12. What percent of a raw apple is water?  More than 90%

13. How many kernels are there on the average ear of corn?  300?

14. The wild pomegranate is said to contain as many seeds as there are commandments in the Old Testament. How many is that?  1000?

15. What part of the hemlock plant is deadly?  I think all of it is deadly--well, maybe not the roots ...

Great answers, Kenara. Some were accurate and the rest were LOL funny! I'm glad you stopped by. I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your dear Mackenzie. I know how hard it is. It certainly was a wonderful way for her to go, though a terrible shock for you and your husband. Dandi is keeping you on your toes and has warmed your hearts, I am sure. Cute name, by the way.
