Additional Comments:
Well, my son is finishing up his training at 29 Palms, California next week and will be headed clear across the US to Camp LeJeune, NC.  My oldest son is ALSO at Camp LeJeune so Bryan (formerly known as Riverboy) will be staying with my oldest and his wife.  I FINALLY got Bryan's bootcamp yearbook the other day and there were a LOT of closeups of him in it.  I don't know HOW he managed to get so many closeups.. I guess the cameraman liked him.

This is one of my favorites:

I guess the cameraman did like him.  What a nice looking man!  You must be so proud.  I’ll also pray for his safety and please thank him for his bravery.

Hi, Gb@s!!

Just found your post!
I must agree with another poster, and mention the obvious that he is smokin' hot.
(No disrespect, hee!)
I will pray for his safety!

I'm jealous! Chris will be stuck at 29 palms for many more months. I hope his PDS is CLJ so he'll be close to home.

He looks wonderful. However, I hope that he has other medical insurance besides the military. If he gets injured, then you can't depend on our government to cover him.

  • Holly, I've wondered about this. However, people say they've had no problem. I had a retired marine as a patient recently who has been in the hospital freq. and he has had no Tricare problems.Diane,RN
  • I'm a veteran as well and have no other medical insurance. I go to the VA hospital and am pretty pleased. I do have to pay a fee because my hubby earns too much for me to get free care but it's no more than a CO-Pay with most insurance. I've never had a problem with the VA hospital here at all. (except finding PARKING!) /Gma b@s

He is a very handsome guy.  All our prayers go with him to keep him close and safe.  One of my friend's daughters is going to Iraq in September. She's in the Marines.

Bryan looks wonderful, Gb@s.  He left a boy, and has clearly become a man.  It looks as if he really loves what he is doing.  You must be so proud, and so happy for him, even as you miss and worry for him.  I'm glad he's staying with his big brother.  It will give them a chance to bond.  He remains in my prayers.

He reminds me of a young Adam Beach.  Didn't his dad have Native American blood?

I'm glad to hear he's doing so well.  I hope he keeps safe and strong.
