Judges: Adam Schankman, Mary and Nigel
Cat says (to Adam) she stepped it up a notch (dresswise for him) tonight and he says he almost wore the same outfit.
Nigel, who once danced with her, gave tribute to the late Cyd Charisse and showed a clip from Silk Stockings
Kherington & Twitch: HIP HOP
She stayed right with him - nice to see. Fun and cool routine with a fab ending.
Nigel: both brilliant - spirit & energy. Fantastic routine.
mary: for sure on the top most wanted list for SYTYCD. Kherington stepped it up and it was hard hitting - SCREAMS!
Adam: it was awesome. Suggests (for future) cleaner hip hop moves.
Courtney & Gev: RHUMBA
She looked gorgeous. So intuned to each other and so sexy. Others better watch out for this couple.
Nigel: very very happy - really good job. Make a fabulous couple.
Mary: beautiful routine - just beautiful. More melting - chemistry is there.
Adam: really really loved it. Gev is strong need to work hands.
Comfort & Chris: JAZZ
Different for Tyce. Another story told but it was odd and unappealing for me.
Nigel: Disappointed with lack of power. Comfort was there but Chris too stiff.
Mary: felt the same. More animalistic & wild. Not there and I was disinterested.
Adam: a challenge. Demanded a performance - not always there.
Jessica & Will: DISCO
Choreographer complains that she [Jessica] isn't taking it serious enough. Sadly that showed for me. Cookie cutter routine and too slow for disco. Had it's difficulty, for sure, but nothing out of the ordinary for this style. Just okay and Will is a fine dancer of all styles.
Nigel: danced well but 2 or 3 areas it went wrong and lost energy.
mary: carried it off even w/mistakes. Turning point. Will showed personality and Jess stepped up to the plate.
Adam: fantastic and challenging. Wish Jess knew how good she is. Will is so great.
Khourtni & Matt: CONTEMPORARY
Both excelled and are coming alive. Had fun with a different routine.
Nigel: so quirky - a different flavor. Fantastic.
Mary: something wierd for sale and I'm buying it. Showcased both talents.
Adam: control so beautiful. Hated the costumes. Let loose more.
Chelsea & Thane: QUICK STEP
They enjoyed, imo, one of the more difficult styles. Too animated and slow at times.
Nigel: too bouncey and lack of personalities. Good attempt but get your solos ready (ouch).
Mary: okay - looked beautiful. Entrance good but substance fell short. Chelsea let Thane down.
Adam: both great dancers but you don't look comfortable or in the element - you should show that.
NOTE: these two are good but at this point in the competition they are really lacking in the race. I thought she'd go all the way but not so sure now.
Chelsia & Mark: I am loving LYRICAL HIP HOP
She's too little girly for my taste but this was by far their best routine to date. LOVED the heart pops.
Nigel: thought you were excellent. Passion and manipulation. Brilliant.
Mary: agrees - loved it. Believed the struggle - felt you brought it to life.
Adam: he stands with fist pumped high and says YES!!Put life into it. Had it in your eyes.
Katee & Joshua: SAMBA
Hot, sexy and smooth. This man can dance and they work so well together.
Nigel: so sexy and you don't over exaggerate. It all works. He asked Josh what he thought when he got this style and he said he should get his solo ready (lol). Then he talks of how well Josh's pants fit and asked if he got the buns from his dad who is in the audience - dad stands and proves it (cute). Wonderful chemistry - outstanding.
Mary: I gotta calm down. Hot!! Personality, animated and spirited. Hot tamale merit - two first class tickets.
Adam: serious competing right there. Loved it! Katee is smokin'. Beautiful end to the show.
We are certainly separating the boys from the men and their partners (lol). Some wowed and others stayed the same which is almost worse than just not being good at a certain style. I'm very disappointed in Chelsea and Thane and Nigel is probably right - they will solo tomorrow. Joining them might be Comfort & Chris (again) and could be Jessica & Will although he doesn't deserve it.
Loving Joshua, Twitchington, Will, Courtney & Gev and Katee may just come alive more and more. I'm giving Chelsia & Mark more of a chance - they have improved which is what is needed at this point in the game.
I was so surprised at the hip-hop, but then it surprises me each time. I never cared for it before but these dances have been great. "Twitchington" did a fun number and I found myself watching Kherington more than Twitch. Maybe because it isn't her specialty and she did so well. I watched it over on video and kept my eye on Twitch this time. He can do those moves so great.
I have never heard of Lyrical Hip-hop but I really liked the way they told the story. Chelsie & Mark did very well. I didn't really notice that it was Hip-Hop because I was busy watching them act out the story.
The Contemporary was cute and fun and the Disco was okay but it looked like they mistepped at the end or at least Jessica did and Joshua was trying to hold her up or something that they had to support themselves. The Jazz was my least favorite dance and what is with the choreographer's hairstyle? Wow! What a contrast! But the dance just didn't do anything for me. I can see them in the Bottom 3.
It will be interesting if the chain is finally broken and a new couple emerges.

Thanks W.E. I have a few comments. There are so many couples/contestants so I hope I can remember all of the correctly:
My faves:
Kherington/Twitch: Cute chemistry together - loved the prison break theme.
Khourtni/Matt: I have loved this girl from the beginning and she hasn't disappointed. The routine was so strange, I couldn't take my eyes off them.
Chelsia/Mark: Was this the routine with the husband going off to work and the wife tries to get him to stay home, in the end he takes her heart? If so... I LOVED it! Loved the story told; very sharply executed and clean. Loved the drama and feeling in every inch of their bodies.
Katee/Joshua: These two did a nice job. Didn't wow me, but they are so dang cute together! I have enjoyed each of them from the beginning. I hope they can continue to entertain me.
Didn't Like:
Comfort/Chris
Jessica/Will
The rest didn't do enough to make me remember them, good or bad. Maybe that means they are "safe" in my eyes.
