1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours? I had a haircut like Lisa Rinna's but now it has grown out to more of a layered bob.  I am due to have a shaping.
2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?  I love the hairstyle that ''Lindsey'' on OLTL used to have before she grew it long.
3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you? I once got a very short haircut and it was not good on me to say the least.  Oddly enough, my husband loves me in short hair cut I can't ''cut'' it. I always go back to the bob look no matter how I have it done.

4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  Last weekI bought a Revlon Ceramic hot curling iron that seems to be working well.

Good day to all, I hope everyone is well.

..... 1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours? Okay, I'm for real, my hair is similar to Jennifer Aniston's. Susienews posted some pics of her in her message, and right now my hair looks like the picture in the middle.

2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?
Again, I'm really not conceited, but I'm blessed with thick, wavy, healthy dark blonde hair. It's the only part of my body I have ever, or am currently satisfied with.

3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?
When I was 8, my mother had a hairdresser give me a perm. It was horrid, and the damn perm lasted for over a year. I looked like a bad version of Shirley Temple.

4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?
On the expensive end, the Aveda products are great. Just as good and much less are the Garniar-Fructice (sp?) products. A tip that works, is to change your products ever now and then, that way your hair doesn't build up an immunity to them..

Take care, and may all have a blessed day.

  • I think a lot of us have had that experience when Mom got a 'wild hair' - pun intended - to give us a perm in grade school. eom/starfish

    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours?  maybe Julia Roberts altho she changes it alot but when i see ''casual'' photos of her in the rag mags it looks reddish blondish brown and long and scraggly (wavy) like mine

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?  i've always wanted my hair to look like Jackyn Smith's but no matter who i ask to cut it that way it never turns out right

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?  oh yeah - many times - i have naturally wavy hair and whenever i get bangs i end up looking like i have wings on my head

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  i stayed in a luxury spa up in napa valley and they provided Neutrogena hair care products so i use them all the time now

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I've not tried the Neutrogena hair products, but since I've had great success with their skin-care line, maybe I should give them a try. eom/starfish

    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours? Probably the closest is Alexis (NLG) on GH
    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy? Maura West when she wears it straight.  I also like Phyllis's hair on Y&R
    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you? Yes, I once cut it really short, in a Pixie style.  I hated it.

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered? Not really a product, but years ago I stopped blow drying my hair.  I'll wash it every other night after my work out, and then put it up in a ponytail and sleep with it that way.  All I have to do in the am in a little touch up straightening.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Sleeping with it in a ponytail - doesn't that lead to breakage? If I tried that, I'd wake up with a bed full of hair and a huge bald spot. eom/starfish
  • i don't have a problem with it. I use one of those large cotton scrungies, and it just seems to work.

    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours?

Stevie Nicks delivered a two-hour show filled with her past hits.

My hair is long and straight like hers.

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?

Ann Behringer who used to dance in Tina Turner's shows. I can't think of any actors with hair like hers.

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you? ---- Yes, when I went into the 9th grade I tried the shag haircut, trying to copy Karen Valentine's shag. My hair didn't turn out anything like hers. It was one of the worst styles ever.

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered? ----Not really.

  • That long, straight look is really the ONLY style I've ever liked, sixties-hippie-freak that I am. You're so lucky it works for you! eom/starfish

LOL  been thru this just this past week...

    GIMME A HEAD WITH HAIR.......
    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours?  probably a lot right now, just can't say which one!  LOL  its a pretty popular style... until last Friday it was just straight and long... I had them put in LONG layers.  Monday I had an interview and was blow drying the new do... and the blow dryer was practically dying... so on my way home from the interview I bought a new blow dryer... when it was long the best part was not having to blow dry... oh well...

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?  I like Greenlee's hair, it looks very thick too

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?  probably but I never sweat it, its just hair and it grows back or you cut it shorter... I never stress about hair.  In high school my friend was a hair dresser so for like the next 15 years she always did my hair and we always experimented!

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  I gave up mouse, gel and hairspray years ago and refuse to go back.  I use the L'oreal shampoo, conditioner and hair color products... I always liked the conditioner that came w/ the hair color that you use for the next few washings and now it seems they sell just that extra strong conditioner and I've been stocking up on that as well... since I color it and blow dry don't want it to dry out.

    P.S.  I got the job too!  :)

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • i wonder if Greenlee (RB) and other celebs actually use hair extensions to make their hair look thicker/fuller ... its hard to believe their hair is naturally that way. ~mrsk
  • Good job! When do you start? ...valleygirl

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?----no current names come to mind, but the do-nothing pixie style of Audrey Hepburn

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?----the do-nothing pixie style of Audrey Hepburn

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?----I recently bought a light-weight ionic blowdryer. It is so fast and LIGHT! I have thick hair and this blowdryer takes no time at all and lightweight, too! I can even use it in either hand, despite my heriated left shoulder disk. I love it.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Managing a thick head of hair AND a shoulder injury: please take care and get well soon. eom/starfish
  • Thanks for the get well wishes, but it's not going to get any better, just trying to avoid it getting worse. I've had it for many years, in my left shoulder and also where my shoulder and neck meet. I refuse to let anyone operate where my spine get's involved or take anything more than asprin or Motrin. BUT, training myself not to carry my purse on my left side and not swing a bag of groceries with my left arm has helped immensely, oh and those heat patches, what an invention, and now the lightweight ionic blowdryer! Midge
  • I can relate with the weight of thick hair. I have the same, heavy hair and the arm does get tired. I also can relate to switching my pocketbook to the other side because of my bad back. I almost went to get Epidural shots but then the pain (after months) started going away so I didn't go. Unfortunately, the pain could come back at any time for any reason. I hope you feel better. MM

    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours?   Probably Kristian Alfonso on Days.  Except I have bangs.

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?  Definitely Jennifer Aniston!  It's thick and naturally wavy so she can wear it wavy or straight.

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?
I don't take many risks with my hair, but I did get it cut REALLY short when I was in 8th grade.  My mom thought it looked adorable, but I hated it!

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  I have discovered the power of Bumble & Bumble thickening products.  They're not cheap, but they work!  I have very fine hair and need all the volume and body I can get.  I use the shampoo, conditioner and spray.  I get it at Drugstore.com, where I think everything is a little cheaper.

  • Thanks for the recommendation. I've not heard of that line of products, but it definitely sounds worth a try.

  • I can empathize with your answer to number 3. My mother used to trim up my bangs unbelievably short; I guess it was so she'd only have to do it 2-3 times per year! eom/starfish

    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy?  I've always liked the fullness of Susan Lucci's hair.

    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you?  I can't go really short, but I have been scalped a few times.  It really just doesn't work on me.

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  I just purchased one of the ionic ceramic technology hair dryers and find it really does tame the frizzies and gives my hair a nice shine.

    Thanks, starfish!

  • I'll have to look into that ceramic dryer; the older I get, the more I have to do battle with frizz. eom/starfish

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday!  :)  I tis HOT again here....and I love it!

    1. What soap star or other celeb has a hairstyle similar to yours?  Mine is cut similar to Jennifer Aniston's but my hair is very curly so I have to straighten it if I want it to look like hers with a flat iron.
    2. What soap star or other celeb has hair that you really envy? I suppose it would be Jennifer Aniston.....I wish my hair was straight so I wouldn't have to flat iron it to look like hers!
    3. Have you ever tried a style that turned out to be truly awful on you? No....I'm a real chicken when it comes to my hair and I don't try anything .....I did do the 80's BIG hair, but I have really had the same hair throughout my lifetime.  I keep it long and it is naturally curly.  The only difference is that I straighten it a lot now.

    4. Can you recommend a really great hair-care product or styling technique that you've discovered?  I like Treseme (sp?) products......I use the deep cleansing/conditioning shampoo if I am not straightening my hair and the Smoothing shampoo and conditioner if I am straightening my hair.  If I'm going curly, I use a spray gel and if I'm straightening I'll use a smothing gel.  That is basically it.  I'm not too complicated when it comes to hair!

I hope everyone has a FANTABULOUS day!

  • I know....it doesn't seem completely right, does it? LOL I don't 'mind' my hair being curly, I just get TIRED of it.....straightening it gives me a little lift out of life! LOL Funny, huh? ~A&A's Mom
