Judges: Nigel, Mary and the fabulous and getting fabulousER Adam
Speaking of Adam he will PRODUCE the ACADEMY AWARDS and team with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin (with a fellow producer). YAY!
The season five dancers are on break from tour and in the audience. They will dance for the Dizzy Feet Foundation 11/29 with stars from DWTS and America's Dance Crew and Dancapalooza among others. Plus MARY will dance with DWTS' (and former SYTYCD competitor) Dmitry.
Karen & Kevin: HUSTLE...Maria Torres...Come To Me
Her hubby didn't make the cut and they've decided to divorce. He's good but she so outshines him. TWO death spirals!! Great lift ending.
Adam: made it work for you. Amazing. Saw Kevin for the first time.
Mary: like a Sadie Hawkins Hustle. Amazing. Kevin had attitude and performance.
Nigel: jete and double pirouettes? Shocked watching Kevin grow. Nerves on the death spirals (for him, lol).
Ashleigh & Jakob: JAZZ...Mandy Moore...Relax
A cane prop - wow the usage. Great routine and difficulty factor with the prop. Costumes enhanced.
Adam: Ashleigh you belong on this show - so good. Elegant and studied.
Mary: I agree - performance partnership. Phenomenal. Use stage and prop.
Nigel: Up to Sabra and Neil's table routine. Worked as a unit.
Pauline & Peter: QUICK STEP...JT and Tomas...Hey Baby (Shake Those Hula Hips)
They did well but hard to watch some moments - but fun.
(Adam teases Cat about her pronunciation of Pauline's name and she says like jidges)!!
Adam: adorable routine. Blown past technique. Natural charisma.
Mary: pulled it off. Wasn't great but amazing life, energy and joy. Connection off.
Nigel: technique not good. Did I care? Absolutely not. Amazing performance.
Kathryn & Legacy: BROADWAY...Andy...I Wanna Be Like You
The dancing was there, especially by him, but this did little for me.
Adam: this needs character and acting and Kathryn lost character. Legacy a huge step in your growth.
Mary: needs choreography, character and chemistry and chemistry was missing. Adorable but got lost on the way.
Nigel: disappointed in Kathryn...almost juvenile (oy). Legacy is transmographer(sp on this made up word?). Such talent.
Channing & Victor: CONTEMPORARY...Stacey Tookey...Be Be Your Love
I really liked this and glad both were safe. So difficult and well done.
Adam: reinvigorated in the competition. Adapting well. Quality movement.
Mary: Great partnership. It worked - tremendous job. Phenomenal.
Nigel: Not emotionally carried away but was technically.
Ellenore & Ryan: HIP HOP...Lil C...Lost Boiz Anthem
Poppin' and boppin'. Exhaustive and static...odd costumes.
Adam: Ryan is the most transformed dancer of the night. Not great but really good.
Mary: agrees, it wasn't great but it was good. Got sluggish.
Nigel: don't think it was good at all for either one of you.
Mollee & Nathan: SALSA...Gustavo...Quimbara
This was a HOT mess. Some fine moments but it was sloppy, they grappled for hands in lifts...whoa.
Adam: bad luck of the draw. Exposed all weaknesses.
Mary: not sexified it was french fried. Not your brightest.
Nigel: sobering night for many. Didn't feel music or each other.
Noelle & Russell: AFRO JAZZ...Sean...Frog Dance
I liked this a LOT but I've never seen it before so what do I know (lol).
Adam: very smart. Curious blend of techniques. Enormous amount of joy, character and story.
Mary: that was crazy good. Shocked - so dynamic. Fierce. Russel is the king of Afro Jazz (she puts the king on the train)
Nigel: great fun to watch. I loved it. Russell is a star this season. Noelle really good job. Congratulations.
Judges speculate that Ellenore/Ryan and Mollee/Nathan will be in jeopardy. They didn't name a third couple but poor Legacy I think Kathryn will take him to the bottom. If so and those are the three couples (barring any bad action from fans) I think Kathryn and Nathan could (should?) go and the others saved.

well, i hope you're wrong about Kathryn taking Legacy down - he is so good and getting better all the time. maybe she'll get voted off soon so he can partner with someone better.
loved Karen and Kevin's hustle - she is so HOT ! and he was hot and sweaty ! poor guy - but he did great.
Ashleigh and Jakob are just fantastic - i think they will go the farthest in this competition
I was sad to see her hubby Ryan and Eleanor get stuck with that hip hop number - that was tough - i hope they dont end up in the bottom like Nigel predicts
I wont be surprised if Mollee and Nathan get low votes - they were pretty sloppy

random thoughts -
I heart Kat and loved the outfit/hair.
I heart Adam and really enjoy his critiques cuz I learn a LOT about dance.
Karen & Kevin:
They did well, BUT I can't believe they didn't speak more about Kevin's footing and bent knees during some parts. I'm no dance critic but I've seen the hustle in my day, I know how it should look...lol! Karen was great but Kevin did well in a can't-believe-you're-a-hip hop-dancer kind of way, if you get my meaning. He needs more polishing.
Ashleigh & Jakob:
Great dance - one where the prop added to the dance instead of bringing it down. Loved the navy blue costumes (unless it was black but looked blue on my TV.) Loved the sharpness of the choreo. Loved the 'Prisoner' reference (McGoohan fan, here). I hoped Jakob knew who Joel Grey was so he could really appreciate that compliment. OK, on to Ashleigh - I really think this is a set-up. Here's what I mean and you alluded to it already. Like last season, mia hates Brandon, Brandon is really great but an underdog due to Mia's hate. Then, great critique after great critique (and no one understands why Mia hated him). I feel a similar thing here (altho Ashleigh is no Brandon) - now she's getting all these ''I didn't think you this'' and ''I didn't think you that '' (belonged here, could do this, etc.) But I feel manipulated! GRRRrrrrr!
Pauline & Peter:
So when it comes to the ballroom styles, I judge myself on how good my critiques are compared with the 'jidges'. Usu., I like a dance but they hate it cuz they can see all the details I cannot. So when I watched this one, I liked it and really hoped it was actually good, lol. I was so proud that the jidges kinda liked it too. (Go ag!) I did also see that Peter was kinda heavy on his feet. (Dance should be called the quick-light step!)
Kathryn & Legacy:
ITA w/ the critique. Kath was too cutesy and Legacy did do well. He sold it, IMO. A lot of his own style was infused into this dance, tho. Let's see what happens w/ballroom.
Channing & Victor:
Good. As they said, should have been great. I don't want to see the arms from Mia's addiction dance again. (2nd time this season something resembled that dance.) I loved the original and copying it takes away from its uniqueness. Boy, that Mia is influential!
Ellenore & Ryan:
AWWwwwwww! So uncomfortable and awkward to me. They did all the correct moves but the 'uummph' and feeling behind it was not there. Costumes hurt this dance, IMO, and they should've given Ellenore something cuter. Awwww, cuz I like them both.
Mollee & Nathan:
Wellll, it wasn't great.
Noelle & Russell:
Interesting mix of jazz, African and hiphop (didja see the tutting?). Well done and Russell did better than Noelle.
more random thoughts -
*Good points by Nigel/Adam that performance sways votes.
*I'm getting tired of the kisses at the end of dances. We GET it. Why not suggest it instead of hitting us over the head. Less is more.
*No real DOTN (dance of the night) for me - but best performances were Jakob and Legacy.
*I think Ellenore may go cuz she's under the radar - I don't get the impression that she's adored like a Mollee or Ryan. But she shouldn't go!
*The gals are not wowing me yet but the guys are.
