I just received a long e-mail, but the bottom line is that there is a new virus being generated that will wipe out your C drive. It is not a rumor—here is a link to snopes.com to verify. I didn’t use the link, since I thought maybe THAT was a virus, but I went to snopes.com and it is listed there under viruses.
It can be generated with a familiar name from your address book and it says that you have a “Postcard from Hallmark”. DO NOT OPEN this e-mail, but delete it and re-boot your computer.

Although the Postcard virus is real, it isn't a "BIG VIRUS COMING" (it's already been around in multiple forms for a long time now, since June, 2007), it will not "burn the whole hard disc" of your computer, CNN didn't classify it as the "worst virus" ever, and it doesn't arrive in messages bearing a subject line of 'Invitation.'
Snopes lists all the names it could come in. Go to the Snopes link W.E. has to see the other names and e-mail subject lines to watch for.
thanks for the info.
I just wanted to let everyone know that this virus comes in many forms, not just "Postcard From Hallmark". The virus itself has been around for a while and the Snopes site list numerous ways that it will appear in the subject line such as:
You've received a greeting card from a school-mate
You've received a greeting card from a neighbour
Family member sent you a postcard from dgreetings
There are a total of twenty-seven.
