All My Children Discussion Group
Warrior Part II - Afro Jazz again? This by Dave Scot. So cool and they all seemed to do well. Dave broke it up to showcase their strengths.
Judges: Nigel, Mary and Adam.
Cat's dress was odd. The top wasn't bad, the color was nice but that bubble bottom?
Nigel states their judging is choosing and sorting out the top TEN. The audience votes but until the finals the judges get to choose who goes out of three couples. Better than fan bases taking over completely like on DWTS.
First Three Couples:
Ellenore & Ryan - Bottom
Channing & Victor - Safe
Kathryn & Legacy - Safe (she dodged a bullet)
Dominick from season 2 does a dancer-on-the-street segment. This was totally unnecessary and quite sophomoric.
Next Three Couples:
Ashleigh & Jakob - Safe
Pauline & Peter - Bottom (awww)
Noelle & Russell - Safe
Last Two Couples:
Karen & Kevin - Bottom (what??)
Mollee & Nathan - Safe
Nigel speaks about those who were saved and shouldn't have been. They show the clip of Nathan from the night before. After they were critiqued Nigel said he hoped they learned something. Cat then asked Nathan and Mollee how they felt doing their (almost disastrous) routine and Nathan said he felt hot. Nigel then chastised the voters.
Nigel is right. Nathan and Mollee weren't good. It was a wreck so their fans vote and vote and vote? Good thing the judges do have final say BUT if this keeps up Nathan will never be bottom so let's hope he learned from Nigel's words tonight!
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - Episodes...Robert Ruggieri
I could watch this all night long. Splendid.
Solos:
Ellenore - odd little dance.
Ryan - woof but he faltered in his aerial. Wondering if he's limited in style
Pauline - fast and technical
Peter - will tapping save him? Tappers haven't excelled this season.
Karen - My TV almost caught fire.
Kevin - cool dude - well done.
Nigel speaks to the soloists and he's not pleased. He felt no one wowed. Criticizes audience for propping up dancers when they don't deserve it.
Going Home: Pauline and Peter. This isn't a big surprise given those in the bottom. Had Mollee and Nathan been here I think we'd be saying goodbye to Nathan.
One has to wonder if Nigel's speeches made voters take notice or did it tick them off.

I also liked Ellenore's solo - at least she didn't do the same ol' leap-land-on-floor-hand-outstretched-to-nowhere solo that Pauline did. (You know how I feel about those!)
That Karen, my TV was smoking in the back, too, lol.
So of the present choices, I think those were the right 2 to go cuz the other 4 had more potential, IMO.
Boy, what a breath of fresh air with Ailey, tho. When the male started, I was thinking ''this is what this group needs to turn into''. I could not even blink, lest I miss a move. The female dancers' legs - unbelieveable definition in those calves and thighs. They (all 3) were so good the word 'good' is insufficient. Thx for showing them, producers! Hopefully I'll go see Ailey at City Center this winter. (Revelations, here I come!)

i dont agree with Nigel about their solos - at least the guys - i thought Ryan and Kevin were both very good
And i can see why your TV almost caught fire when Karen danced - there is no doubt about it - she is definitely HOT
It was no surprise to me to see Pauline and Peter go home - but sad since things may have been different if Mollee and Natan were in the bottom 3 where they should have been
