It's hard not to agree on someone like Palin. What questions would you ask? Bonnie

Hey BonnZ...I would like to say firstly off that im not saying that i am in total disagreement with you on this - because im not.
Which doesn't surprise me, because I agree with alot of your takes.
However, in the interest in fairness, would you mind sharing what are some of these 'Questions' that YOU would to see journalists (if we can even use that term anymore) have the 'Guts' to ask her???
Also, who do YOU personally feel justified in labelling her a coward and ignorant as you do?
Please share.
Again, Im not totally disagreeing with you - i was just wondering if you wouldn't mind bbacking up your argument.
I like to hear the views of others.

OK, Chris, here goes: Let me preface by saying that Palin, by virture of her ignorance- labeling reasonable questions as gotcha types, her unenlightenment with the rest of the world as evidenced by stodgy belief in abstinence (It worked wonders for her daughter Bristol), her lack of a passport, signifying that she has had no desire to see the rest of the world, and her ditzy answers to simple questions-What do you read, as well as her grade school responses- I can see Russia from my back porch, ducking questions that were asked of her during the big debate, her lackluster education-a sewn together BA from various colleges and no graduate degree, her murder of the English language, her general lack of knowledge about anything that doesn't have to do with Alaska, and quitting her position as Governor, after only 18 months in office, most of which were spent campaiging. If I have to go on further, I would be up all night. As for the questions I would like to have asked of her, they would include: What qualifies you to be Vice President or President when you cannot complete your Governorship? Are you by nature a quitter? You preached abstinence to your daughter. In view of the fact that she gave you a childchild, have you changed your opinion? How would you handle yourself in the event of a terrorist attack, similar to 9/11? How would you help this country avoid another attack? Why didn't you answer the presented questions the VP debate? Did you not respond because you were not informed? Do you think you're smart? Do you feel you're enlightened? Did you think George bush was a smart man? SInce you didn't answer Katie Couric's question when she asked it, can you tell us what you read now? Bonnie
Thankx BonnZ...I actually agree with all of your takes except one there. I am not a fan. But, I just wanted to hear your intelligent, well-reasoned arguments behind your position and you did not let me down. Thanks for taking the time and consideration to address me. ... - chris

The AP (and others) are already fact-checking this tome and suffice it to say ole Caribou Barbie is a champeen truth-stretcher and outright fabricator. Love her "take" on the McCain crowd/handlers! Hilare!
I think she thinks this is the first step in launching some sort of resurrected political career, but I do believe that she will not get very far. Her worldview is still quite narrow and despite all her missives via Facebook and Twitter, she appeals only to the teabagging crowd, who, quite frankly, aren't the sharpest knives in the drawers.

Yep, she's the pinup girl for the unenlightened. Bonnie
Bonnie, a fast glance at your response here, I thought you said Palin was the ''pimp'' girl. Midge

I'd like to think that BW will handle her interview as she has done in the past. BW can be very direct and relentless with her questions. If she treats her with ''kid'' gloves I'll be disappointed. The same goes with Oprah. I've seen Oprah handle interviews in a very professional and direct manner. I've seen her not back down when she didn't get answers to her questions and I hope she does the same with SP. I'll have to watch and see.
Both Oprah and Barbra know they are dealing with someone who still may have political aspirations and for that reason alone I hope to see a good interview.

I'm not so sure Palin has her eyes on politics any longer. She quit the governorship, after all. I wouldn't be surprised if she was gaming for a talk show. Bonnie
I don't agree. Can you say Audacity of Hope? A book tour is the perfect road back to the spotlight, and a chance to correct her earlier mistakes. If she tries and fails, then she'll be done, but I'm betting she's going to try. //SqueezeMe
There is a big difference between Obama's substantive book and Palin's tell-all rag. I still believe she knows she's not smart enough for politics and instead, has her eyes on a more Hollywood type of job. Bonnie
Faux News, ladies, Faux News. Even if she attempts to run for something in 2012, Faux will back her, encourage donations to her campaign, etc. And when she falls on her face, she'll get a show. She's a little long in the tooth for the Faux anchorbots (and of course she's not blonde) but hey, if Beck's circus is a Faux hit, why not Sarah? eom Kelly Oh!!
SQUEEZE - but, if she had own talkshow that'd be alot of spotlight for her too - chris
Of course it would, and I'm not saying she'd turn it down if it was offered. I just think she has loftier ambitions. As I said below, she's delusional. //SqueezeMe

I am looking forward to seeing Sarah Palin's interview on Monday on Oprah. I hope Oprah asked her the right questions and I wonder how she answered them.

As to which questions are the right ones, it's all relative. Bonnie

I'm with i&b. Why, after all of the experience they have had with this self-aggrandizing idiot, would the media give her the time of day? So WHAT if she then whines about her cruel they are to ignore her? Who cares? I'm ignoring her as much as I can. If only the media would too. But so much of 'journalism' these days is a joke.

The media enjoys seeing her mess up and so does everyone else who can't stand her. Let's face it, she consistenty digs her own grave. She just refuses to leave the stage. Bonnie
Not to mention that her choice of book tour cities is clearly influenced by her electability in those places. She's gearing up to run. That's media worthy. //SqueezeMe
I don't think Sarah would be necessary willing to accept the lower income associated with being elected to office. She's a grifter and hardly an effective pol. McCain's folly put her on the public stage, but she doesn't have what it takes to weather criticism of any kind. Her book tour may be geared to the super-duper red/teabaggy parts of this country, but the majority of the population live elsewhere, obviously. As the 2010 elections are looming now, mainstream Republicans are distancing themselves from her. She's toxic. But I guess they reap what they sow - they courted nutbags and now the nutbags feel empowered, especially when the likes of Palin and Bachmann bleat on the public stage and spread outright lies about Obama, healthcare, et. al. Think Bachmann will be re-elected? I don't. In fact, I can't imagine how she got elected in the first place. eom Kelly Oh!!
You've got to admit, Kelly, that she's consistent. She's been a grifter all the way through. // Shea

I don't get why the likes of Oprah, BW, and the rest of them even bother with that twit. If the media would quit feeding the troll, SP would go back to bullying her follow Alaskans and leave the rest of us alone.

I think after seeing how that other ex-beauty queen treats and blames the media, it make Palin look almost sane. They’re just alike. They should do their book tour together and the interviewers should not give them softball questions. But from the two clips Oprah put out it looks like that’s what she did. If the rest of the interview is like that, then I’m surprised at Oprah.
I wanted her to make Palin explain why she says Obama is not a U.S. citizen and why she thinks that first health bill had euthanizing Grandma in it, etc. She needs to be held accountable for all her fabrications. But of course, if she is, she will blame the media again.

I think Oprah probably feels that she got what she herself wanted...Obama elected as President, and because of this, she'll cut the idiot some slack. Bonnie
Obama was not a legal citizen of the United States until well into his adulthood. Look it up. We speak the truth for all. eom.
TFA, his birth in the U.S.A. has been verified many times. YOU look it up. If you want to sit back and believe the liars, instead of educating yourself, that’s your problem. / Vivian
(a) Obama was born in Hawaii, a state. This has been verified numerous times. (b) He could have been born on the MOON. His mother was a US citizen. Period. End. 30. However, it doesn't really matter what anyone says because these nuts have been programmed to believe what they want to believe and what they want to believe is that everyone else is lying to them except the people who are filling them with this junk. So be it. It's a waste of energy trying to argue sense to these hate junkies. // Shea

I think she's delusional. I heard on one of the morning news shows that her book says the reason she agreed to the Couric interview is that she felt sorry for Katie after one of Palin's handlers told her Couric suffers from low self esteem. ::snort::

SM, You have got to be kidding. Palin felt sorry for Katie Couric?! Unbelievable...Bonnie
