I loved this guy. Of course I am old enough to remember when Smoky and the Bandit was the hottest thing around!

"When you're hot, you're hot" "East Bound and Down" "She got the Goldmine, I got the Shaft"

Some some of his songs. I just inherited my stepdad's record collection. I'm going to go see if there are any Jerry Reed reconds in there. I bet this is. Then I am going to sit down and listen and have a cry or two.

Aww ... this is so sad. We just loved this guy. He had the greatest laugh! I burned a compilation CD for valleyguy just about a year ago.

*Smokey and the Bandit* is required cinema for youngsters in many parts of the south. He was a big part of making that movie so much fun.

When I think of Jerry Reed, the term 'good ole boy' comes to mind, in a good way, he was truly a good ole boy.

He wrote many songs for a lot of Stars including Elvis, and Dean Martin. I really liked him in Smokey and the Bandit...he cracked me up with that dog!

oh, he was so cool! We saw him at Opryland back in the mid 80's and he was also funny! LOVED him in Smokey and th eBandit! May he rest in peace.......
