Kris inspired me to look for some of our photos of Indian Echo Caverns.
It looked so much like snow ... look how it sparkles and shimmers. I so wanted to touch, but the oils in your skin can cause damage to them, so I put my hands in my pockets!

There was a small lake with the clearest water.

If you are visiting Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, DO NOT miss a little side trip to the Caverns.

beautiful! love that little lake! Amazing. We were told that as well about touching them. to think people used to break off pieces as well before they were official national parks. Also, we were in the caves in KY 2 days after the nearby earthquake and they said the safest place to be is in a cave - kris

Trying to post a picture
How does that work?
Replies: (list all replies)
Hi, Holly. You have to post your personal pictures on a website in order to post them here. I use photobucket.com, but there are other sites such as flickr.com and shutterfly.com. Once you have uploaded your pictures there (there are simple instructions at these sites) copy the url and paste it here using the picture icon (third from the right) on the toolbar of the response box. I am presupposing that you are using a PC and IE. We look forward to seeing your photos. Good luck! ...valleygirl
Hi, valleygirl, I have an Apple Macintosh computer. Do the same instructions work? Thanks for your help. Holly
I don't think so, Holly. Sorry I can't be of any assistance. ...valleygirl

here's a few more. A couple weeks ago we went to Kentucky (before the Derby) to see Mammoth Caves, the Corvette Museum & Plant and Abe Lincoln's birthplace. It was a quick but fun trip.
these are the steps leading down to the natural entrance to Mammoth Caves

inside the caves...

Abe's birthplace cabin (thought to be) is inside this memorial - which was built before the DC version altho very similar.

Beautiful, kris. We went to The Indian Echo Caverns in PA last summer and saw the beauty up close and personl. Isn't nature amazing? Love the step shot and the memorial, too. It sounds like you had a grand time on your trip. Thanks for including us! ...valleygirl ::waving to Bob::

Don't apologize, kris ... your pictures are gorgeous. The colours ... the freshness ... of life returning to NYC! The forsythia are so full already. And, oh ... that daffodil ... contrasting nature with man's mark behind it ... makes me feel like taking pen to paper. That daffodil has it's own story to tell. Thanks, kris. ...valleygirl
Correction: of life returning to Long Island ... I naturally associate you with NYC! ...valleygirl
thanks VG... actually the daffodil was in Bryant Park, one day interviewing... the forsythia bushes are done blooming and are full green now and the pink flowering blooms are all down on the sidewalk after yesterday's wind and todays rain! ahhhhhh - Kris (p.s. VG, think about turning off the date on your photo, its beautiful framed quality and then there's that date! )
A most excellent suggestion, kris ... thank you! ...valleygirl

Ooooo, I would love to play! I took these this past summer at the Mercer Museum in my hometown. This guy Henry Mercer was the first guy to build a building out of concrete around here and it's just like a castle it's pretty cool.

The first picture must have been taken in the spring, Isis. I love the stark concrete and the stark trees against the cloudless blue backdrop. The second picture is visually stunning. The golden sunlight dappling through has given it the appearance of a painting. Thank you for sharing. ...valleygirl
Is this the Mercer Museum in Doylestown? I love it there - have visited twice in past year. eom Sierra
Poz said, '' Wow, that fall picture looks like a Manet or Monet, doesn't it? Very lovely.'' I happen to think it's stunning. Love all the color, light, and shadows. Thanks for sharing. /sb
thank you very much VG! Sierra, have you visited ? This is where I live! That's incredible. Small world eh? Songbird, any compliment from your photographer friend, I hold in very high regard, I love his work. ! ///Isis
Isis, who knew??? I didn't know that we lived in the same area!!!! Bucks Co is so pretty, isn't it? /sb
