Subject: Don't count on it. After the Democratic convention, very few Hillary voters are still holding out. ~i&b

Subject: I'm sure there are lots of people who are SAYING they were Hillary supporters and are now McCain/Palin supporters. That doesn't mean it was true. I was a Hillary supporter. I gave money to her campaign, I have her buttons, but OF COURSE I am now supporting Obama/Bidden. Why? Because they stand for the same things Hillary stood for. I thought Hillary would have been a great president, but not just because she is a woman. I also think Obama will be a great president. As I just heard one woman say on TV, ''Palin may have my anatomy, but I doubt she has my political beliefs.'' eom/Kenara

Subject: Yes, he's banking on there being that many stupid women who won't vote on issues. He could be right. He probably only needs a small percentage. / Vivian

Subject: There were very few Hillary fans not on board for Obama by the end of the Dem convention. Surely not enough to justify choosing your runningmate as a faux Hillary. ~i&b

Subject: I think your ‘stupid women’ comment is offensive to women. Let’s look at the same for your candidate: Do you think Obama is banking on lots of stupid black people voting for him? It is widely reported that a much higher percentage of black people are going to vote this election, and they are voting because they have a black man they want to put in office. How is that different than women voting for a female candidate?

Subject: As a Hillary supporter myself, I can't imagine voting for McCain/Palin. Sarah Palin is nothing like Hillary! I'm definitely an Obama supporter now. -Miss H

Subject: Doubting Thomas, you're not by any chance bubblez, are you? Because you seem so take the wrong meaning on so many things that are said. I hate to disappont you, but yes, any black that votes for Obama, strictly because he's black is just as stupid as a woman who would vote for a woman just because she's a woman. The difference here is that McCain is counting on it, which is insulting to the women who are not dumb enought to do that. Obama has done nothing to insult blacks. Get it? / Vivian

Subject: The flaw with this thinking is that BO is not just African American or Black.. He's half white. And for anyone to say that he's the first and only person with a drop of black blood to run for President could be ridiculously wrong. We don't even know the lineage of a lot of our previous Presidents. No DNA available, ya know? No vicious media like we have today to poke and prod themselves into famiy history. BO is not just black, he's part caucasion and most people are conveniently denying the truth.

Subject: X is correct that Obama is mixed race, not just black. But X has missed the point otherwise. No one has said Obama is the first person of African American descent to RUN for President. We've even had black female candidates in the past. He is the first to obtain the NOMINATION. Big difference and THAT is what people are talking about in this campaign. ~i&b

Subject: I&b, the reason I was questioning X is because it didn’t make sense in response to me. I was responding to Doubting Thomas who said my stupid women comment is offensive to women, and no different than Obama wanting black voters to vote for him. I was trying to tell her that blacks would be stupid too, but Obama wasn’t asking any of them to vote for him because black, as McCain is doing. X was bringing up a whole different subject. / Vivian

Subject: I was a strong Hillary supporter and no way am I swayed to vote Republican. In fact, when Hillary lost, I was going to vote for Obama because there political beliefs are mine. If McCain had picked Condi Rice I would be concerned about him winning but now I think he just dug a hole for himself. I cannot wait for the VP debate. eom Sierra
