Subject: Peace--Yes, we have both. I've thought about calling them. I had already called my own vet's office and they said they really couldn't get involved. I guess because their clinic isn't involved, I don't know, but I need to see my own vet next week and I can see what she says. I can give these other places a call to see what answers I get there too. I haven't decided on adopting the cat because this all came up suddenly and because he does have an owner, even though it seems not a very good and caring one. I could take him physically but am not sure financially. I'm already caring for two cats that have medical problems that live with my mother. I had found them but they didn't get along with my own cat at the time. He is gone now so physically, I could take this cat but financially, I don't know. It depends on what is wrong with him. If it is just diet or a little medication, maybe I can handle it. He is a cute little guy and sure does want somebody to love him. That's my main thing is would I be involved in any legal issue if I just took him. You and others have mentioned about taking him and letting her visit. Maybe she would go for that. About cats and birds--I have had three cats already, that if they caught a bird it was just because of instinct but were not interested in eating. But I'm sure each cat is different. Your neighborhood cat probably doesn't have much luck because of his size slowing him down, LOL! He must look funny! Thanks for your advice. I will definitely consider it. ~ eom. Linda
