Emily in stirrups, Mick between her legs with a turkey baster!!!!!! Was that scene necessary? It gave me the creeps!! It was very uncomfortable to watch.  Did it bother anyone else? Or am I over-reacting?

Thanks, everyone, for answering my post.  You, guys, are great. You had me laughing. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this scene went beyond good taste.  I guess this is what we will have to expect to the final curtain call. For some reason, the producer and the writers want to stick it to the fans!!!  It's a shame, we deserve better!!!  Thanks, again!!!!!!

To everyone that has posted a response, I must say thank you. I laughed so hard as I read every response. Too funny. It made my day.

Now back to the subject, I found the entire thing to be in really poor taste and just a bit too much. From the stirrups to the turkey baster, not to mention, Mick doing the deed instead of someone like Doctor Bob. Then to top it all off, all of this is happening during the course of the same episode that has him going back and forth between his work with Emily and horning after Alison.

Then the absolute clincher was when he tossed Emily the box of towelettes and said You might want to clean up a bit.

I haven't been THAT grossed out since Fluff was spread-eagled on the sawdust-strewn floor of a half-constructed condo and Tool was pumping away furiously in the Man Canyon.

  • OMG MH! I just threw up a little in my mouth. I was already nauseated reading this post, but you made it so much worse! LOL! Roxie
  • LOL! Sorry, Roxie. eom MaryHatch
  • OMG Mary Hatch. I just laughed my a$$ off, and loudly too. I didnt even stop to read who the poster was, but when I read Man Canyon, I knew it was you. Too funny. SANDY B
  • Don't forget Fluffy spread across the counter top at WOAK for Brad's tool.lw
  • Actually, that was JackAss who was between her legs on the WOAK kitchen countertop. Jack only got in one BIG thrust, though-- Tool pumped a good 3 or 4 times as Fluffy encouraged him with loud moans that translated as ''Hey, Simon, we're over HERE!'' eom MaryHatch

TOTALLY GROSSED ME OUT!!!!! If I were Emily I would go to my doctor and ask for help.......don't know if the morning after pill would help but I would give it a try. Mentally, if she doesn't know whether or not the 'turkey baster' job was successful then maybe if wouldn't bother her as bad. Hope this makes sense.

  • One question.......what Mick trying to inject his own sperm in which case I believe the morning after pill would be successful OR was he collecting Emily's eggs in order to fertilize them. I suspect the first.
  • Emily has had a tubal ligation. Artificial insemination won't, or shouldn't get her pregnant. Except in Bizarro World, of course. eom/D
  • I said I didn't even want to think about what he was doing, but I THINK, he was supposed to be implanting the already fertilized eggs -- they've been working on in vitro fertilization - IVF - so I would guess that's what he was doing. It looked like a syringe rather than an actual turkey baster ... and I think that is how they are implanted because they have to go into the actual uterus rather than just down lower to release Paul's or Mick's swimmers. If he was implanting embyros I suppose it's anyone's guess whose DNA they've got. Another twist on a WTD story --- a who's the donor story. eom/pita

Thank you, everyone. I was sickened by that scene, on every level. What really pushed me over the edge was when Mick patted her on the thigh before asking if she was ready. It was all so WRONG.

The only hope I have is that it means Mick is NOT really James. Mick must be a doctor or he wouldn't know what to do to accomplish his fiendish plan. I do NOT want that weenie who sniffs around after Alison Stewart - of all women - to be the real James.

I'm with you Lorry. I don't even care what he was doing - as a matter of fact I don't want to think about what he was doing. Just her in stirrups and him between her legs was enough to feel like "too much information" ... a little too graphic. IMO, that's the kind of stuff where a little vague abstraction is a very good thing.

I'm not that familiar with the procedure of egg retrieval....they do it vaginally?  I mean, it looked like he had a big hypodermic and was going up.  For some reason, I thought egg retrieval was done laproscopically.  I mean, that WAS what Emily said she had done; egg retrieval, right? So a "turkey baster" wouldn't have been involved, although it sure looked like that.

I agree with all of the posts below.  Emily SAID that she was having her eggs harvested but in reality she has no clue as to what  Mick did.  Also you will remember that Larry McDermott stole Em's eggs for Aurora Hunter.  At the time I was certain that James was behind that, but later I was proved wrong.  But was I?  Could the reason that Mick wants to have sex with Alison be because she is young enough to create a Stenbeck son if his plot with Emily fails.  Color me hopeful, but I can't believe that Mick is really James.  I prefer to think that he is working FOR James.

You're not overreacting at all. And what kind of clinic gives privileges to a non-MD to do this type of procedure (whatever the heck he was doing) anyway?! He must be putting some powerful drugs in those shots, as Emily used to be a fighter. Any woman who would have submitted to that in Dr. Dante's House of Torture is truly nutso.

I left the room rather than watch it. But my question is - Emily said she had her eggs harvested. You don't harvest eggs with a turkey baster, you impregnate someone - ala John Dixon's attempt with Carly years ago - with a turkey baster - but Emily has her tubes tied and she was going to do invitro. I don't get it....

No, you aren't overreacting, I found it unnecessarily graphic. Of course we are exposed to so many repulsive things on TV these days that many of us may now be immune to them.
