According to Daytime Confidential Kim Zimmer and Robert Newman will be coming to Oakdale some time this year, bringing their *super couple status with them.

No mention how long but I wonder if, like Tom Eplin on Another world, they had something like this put into their contracts when they re-signed with GL.

Do we need anymore people on this bloated whale of a show.??

I was so glad when Reva's son Jake Weary was let go as Luke, because I hated seeing Reva's face in his. Now I have to put up with the real thing.

I LOVED Jake, and was very upset when he left. He was a great Luke! Not a selfish jerk like the present one! fee

I agree, fee. I loved Jake's luke. But I heard that Kim pulled him out because she didn't feel like he could handle the coming out storyline. I'm not a huge fan of Kim but I didn't mind Jake at all.

Well claire, you DON'T do you! How often do you see Lucinda? Or Babs? Or Kim? Or Tom? The ones that are on here most of the time are either newbies, or people that JP worships and everyone else wishes would die. I just don't want to see JP kill Reva, the way she has assasinated characters on here! fee

OH MY GOSH!!!! Please don't let JP destroy Reva and Josh! Maybe DK will be writing for them, and JP will leave them alone. That would be AWFUL!!! It would be great to see GA on here! And Beth Chamberlain is fantastic, too! What I would LOVE is to see the Spauldings come over, and Alan be going at it head to head with Lucinda, back in the saddle! I would LOVE to see those two butt heads!

They need to just face it. NOTHING is going to work on this show until they get rid of the CAUSE of the terrible ratings! And I think we ALL KNOW what that is! fee

Fee, I completely agree with you. I would like also to see Phillip and Beth back. Gosh, maybe Dr. Bob could heal Phillip.

Unfortunately Fee that cause of the ratings drop seems to have either something on Goutman, or a is a big shareholder of P&G stocks otherwise why are they still on the show ruining it.

Kim Zimmer signed a new contract with GL at the beginning of the year At the time she was quoted as saying *she wanted the same contract Tony Geary has on GH which gives him all summer off) Given that it was pretty much well known that GL would be given the axe in April she was probably saying that with her tongue in her cheek but I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to have the same clause Tom Eplin had in his contract stating that in the event of AW being cancelled he would be transferred to ATWT. Zimmer's husband is her agent and I wouldn't doubt that he tried to get the same clause put into Kim's contract as well.

I don't think there's any way P&G was going to get burned by that type of clause again. I wouldn't doubt that if ATWT had to consider taking on GL refugees, Reva wouldn't be at the top of the list. She IS GL for a lot of people. And with Krietzman coming aboard, maybe that's really about having someone familiar with her character to write for her character. I'm just not sure KZ would stick with P&G, when she's had some very public battles with them, and especially when they won't be able to offer her much better than she's had at GL for the past couple of years. Aside of ''not sweating her balls off in Peapack NJ.'' And while I love RN, I can't believe ATWT would be anxious to have him. gallyn

Oh, no! Please, no! I have hated GL's policy of All Reva, all the time, and now I have to wonder how long it will be before Reva will be front burner all the time on ATWT. They don't use the wonderful vets they have, and they bring those two to Oakdale? I hate it already!

okay I'm going to be mean. i don't know what's bigger KZ's ego or her ass. bringingt on Josh & Reva smells like desperation to me. it also means that some actors/characters on ATWT will be sacrificed for these two. Judi & I have met RN (Josh) in NYC. really nice guy.. with him I'm torn because he's a first class guy I just don't see Josh needed on ATWT.

I don't think it's the characters that make a hill of beans worth of difference. It's the horrid, putrid writing that is killing this show. Not any actors or characters. Except in what has been done to them at the pen of MedusaWoman! fee

If they DO bring KZ over here, how often do you think they'll use her? In my opinion, Maura and Kim are the best actresses in daytime. Yes, even over SF! Carly has been assasinated, and you can rest assured Reva will be too. Remember Martha! She left over the number of days to be on, in her contract. These jerks aren't going to let anyone be on much. NOTHING can hurt this show anymore. Not with JP writing. It's just not possible. Look at it this way! The less often a character is on, the less likely the character assasination. Well, except for Nancy Hughes! Remember? The sweet little old lady that lied to the WHOLE TOWN about writing that stupid book, so Fluff wouldn't have a tiff with Toolbelt? There just aren't words for what has been done to this show and the people in Oakdale! I'm afraid Reva will be done in now. JP won't have a clue how to write for her or Josh either. Just as she doesn't have a clue of how to write for anyone on here now! fee

Well, I love Kim AND Reva, so this wouldn't bother me at all if it actually happens. And, since I have loved and had a major crush on Robert Newman since DAY 1, I would love to continue seeing his gorgeous self on my screen for a while longer. What would really be wild though is if they brought them over as new characters and cast Kim in the part of Carly's not so dead after all mother Sheila or her evil stepmother Lee.

ugh. I'd much rather they just spend the money to give each of the senior vets already on ATWT a couple more episodes each month (in what's probably the last year) than hire them.

GA would make the perfect Scott Eldridge recast. I don't mind if they bring GL actors over, but NOT their characters-- especially Reva. eom MaryHatch

Sould love to see Grant there also.

KZ has played many other characters on soaps over the last 25+ yrs! There is no reason why she shouldn't be offered the opportunity to play another. eom

If it means getting rid of even some of the young 'uns & getting back to a balanced presentation, I'm all for it. If it is like Jake & TPTB (Corp) are too lazy to incorporate a believeable storyline for them, like one is a ghost, then I'm NOT for it.

TE (Jake) had a lot ot bring to the table & he was wasted in his time on ATWT. I'm not saying that there weren't some good moments, but I'm looking for something more than that--w/both situations. For instance, I would rather have seen Jake being in an adversarial (sp) relationship w/Lucinda than being her employee. He had been his own boss far too long to just sit & roll over on demand.

They could have done a credible crossover w/Cass & his daughter, but that never happened.

For these things to happen there has to be a belief in the characters & the show that has been absent for a very long time--longer than CG or EW have been around.

I agree.. I really won't be able to stand these two coming onto the show. Especially if Kim stays as Reva..gag!

Wouldn't it have made better sense to Bring Ron Raines (Alan Spaulding) on instead of hiring Damon as a *bad guy*. He would be great opposite either Barbara or Lucinda

Should we start a conga line out the door? .. lol! .. She's the main reason I stopped watching GL back in the 90s. .. I can watch the 10 minutes I'm still mildly interested in on youtube every week. - Ty
