Additional Comments:
The one or two beers that Janet is so concerned with that Jack had before going into the situation with Brad pales in comparison to the lack of anger & grief she had regarding her "Uncle Ralphie". Janet should be more concerned about what her "Uncle Ralphie" was responsible for than Jack's two beers. I was very much surprised after Jack unloaded on her (much deserved) at the hospital that he didn't question Janet on her knowledge of Uncle Ralphie. Nah our beloved Janet was impervious & innocent of that knowledge. Just as Terri is & was. They can both claim ignorance but that's just a bunch of crap because anyone connected with this guy in any way would know who & what he is.
In relation to all of this whatever it takes to get Jack away from Janet works for me. Since Janet is now Mother Teresa on ATWT & above character flaws I think she needs to move on to another man who can match her in this regard.

Message: We don't know how many beers Jack had. We only heard him offer ''another.'' His actions show he was impaired. He fired into the warehouse suspecting Katie was in there, but not knowing where she was. It could have been she Ralf was holding in front of him.

Message: Jack was at least slightly impaired. There was no question in my mind, in Michael's portrayal at Yo's when he was talking to Janet. He wasn't falling down drunk by any means, but he'd had more than one or two beers and Michael was letting us know that in no uncertain terms. But as Mandi asked in a post just below, what's a police officer to do in a situation like that?

I think this issue of having one or two beers will become a major factor in the telling of this story. After being so harangued by Janet, you know how much she drums in a point, Jack no doubt will start questioning his own impairment at the time, and how much it led to Brad's demise. If this all somehow then relates to Carly's past drinking problem, and Jack having more understanding and compassion for Carly, then it will work out favorably getting those two back together. Then Janet will be left out in the cold, with nothing but her tray of manicotti's to keep her warm.

Message: Janet has become such a spiritual being that she should join a convent. That would seem to be a good place for her.
