Additional Comments: Being a Carjack fan from day one it was hard for me to see both Jack and Carly in other relationships but I actually started to enjoy the Holden and Carly storyline because it seemed to evolve in a very plausible and realistic way. I actually saw them become friends and support each other at the start and then it became something else. Now, after Carly begged him to save his marriage, go home, leave her alone, forget her, etc. he wants to do just that when Lily found out! Or shoud I say, when he told Lily. I thought being the "good guy" that he was he would have at least let Carly know that he was telling Lily that it was Carly he had and affair with. But he gave her not a chance in hell to either change his mind or do any kind of damage control. Yes, Carly is a damaged person, she has broken more heart and relationships than we can count but there is still something about her that keeps viewers rooting for her. However, in all of this and the outcome, she is going to be completely alone without her children, no friends, no Jack and now no Holden. I think it was self serving of Holden to fiercely pursue her and then give her up without a second thought and now all he wants to do is "save his marriage"! If MB had been in the role of Lily I think I would have been more ticked off about this whole thing but I'm not, or at least, not as much as I should be. But at least the vets have a good storyline to work on, namely Holden, Carly and Jack and maybe MW will find another Emmy in this storyline down the road. Oh and one more thing--Janet telling Jack he deserves better--really ticked me off too! Just a week ago she was begging his married brother to be with her--and now she is sleeping with Jack! Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?????

I have to admit, this story wasn't bothering me all that much (except the Lily factor) until yesterday when Holden hung Carly out to dry. I said in a topic above that Lily deserved to know who Holden was cheating with, instead of Holden keeping it to himself by protecting the other woman. I changed my mind.
I had no idea Holden would turn on Carly this way. What really ticked me off yesterday is even though Holden defended Carly to Jack, he should have knocked Jack's lights out for demeaning Carly.
And don't even get me started on the bully's words to Carly. That is NOT love.

I like Janet but when she put her two cents in today,regarding Colden, I thought you need to STFU. Come to think of it, she needed to stay out of the nuke thing too. She's a guest in Emma's house and jack's booty call and neither position gives her the rightto say anything about anything except please pass the salt. It's like two times in the sack with Jack and she's his new second in command.
Well when Emma shows up she is going to settle everyone's hash with her mighty spatula.
Right on about Juicy Janet!! Her ner nickname should be Juicy the Hypocrite! This woman has the guts to judge Carly for having an affair when she threw herself at Brad not two weeks ago!! Ok, so Katie wasn't her best friend.. does that make it ok to try to sleep with a married man? I don't think so. Seems to me Janet got a big pass on that one.. I mean I didn't watch that week... does Jack know about her throwing herself at Bradley?? If he does, that is just another reason to hate him.. because he so easily excuses and defends bad behavior in other people but, for some reason never does the same for Carly, the mother of his children!
Well, sorry to say, but this is what so many of us figured would happen. I'll probably check out for a while, I really don't need to see another replay of how Carly is the root of all evil, blah, blah, blah .... while everyone lines up to take their shot and remind themselves of their own moral superiority.
Boring and irritating -- that's a bad combo.

Message: Great post, Patty. I've never been what you would call a Carjack fan, but there was a time when I felt very much as you do about the couple. I agree that MW has played this role superbly.

Message: Holden was self-serving the minute he kissed Carly, then ran home and bedded his wife. I'm not really sure why his professions about wanting to save his marriage now after he's 1) had his fun with Carly and 2) been convinced she doesn't want him for the long haul surprise anyone.
ITA with everything you have said. I am really disappointed in the writing and it is what we all have predicted. Carly will have the scarlet A on her forehead and Holden will move on with Lily. I wish Maura would move to a better soap where I could watch her. She isn't getting good material here. I really think I am going to stop watching for awhile and hope that things will improve, but I doubt it.
