Wouldn't Janet have known she was or wasn't using some type of BC with Jack because they were having sex all over town before Brad died. So did she stop ..when she and Jack had sex (the time he made such a face..he was just coming to the farm to talk and ended up in bed) or did she not use protection when she spontaneously did the dead with the Duster.

Oh my gosh! I never thought about that! She will, of course, want Jack's baby because of the increased chances that the baby's bone marrow will be a match - although cord blood could be used which might negate the need for a BMT - which wouldn't save Libby in time anyway - but back to the topic - Janet will have to know WTD is. If it's Dusty, will she consider the idea of aborting the baby so she can try for a better match with Jack??? Janet? Abortion? Even to save the life of her daughter? Dusty would not want her to abort his child and it would be against Janet's religious beliefs! Hmmmm. Could be interesting.

I have no faith Janet's "dilemma" is anything more than deciding how to blame Carly for the mess she's in. Or somehow defending her out-of-wedlock pregnancy to her father.

To do a "Who's The Daddy" at this late date won't be very convincing, since Janet only slept with Dusty once two months ago (NYE) and just slept with Jack for the first time the other day. That's TWO WHOLE MONTHS between insemination opportunities. Janet will certainly know who her child's daddy is, unless she sleeps with Dusty again now. Since her goal is to have a child fathered by Jack, surely even she won't be that stupid.

Jack and Janet had sex shortly before she had sex with Dusty. But still, you'd think she'd have missed a period by now./mm

Janet is dumb as a box of rocks, but I give even that moron more credit than not knowing who-the-daddy would be if she is already pregnant. I think, as I said in a response below, that the issue would be if she is pregnant by Dusty would she be willing to abort that baby so she can be impregnated by her husband. (eom) Mandi

One more thought...IF Janet is pregnant with Dusty's baby, and did face the choice of having an abortion so she could get pregnant with Jack's baby, how would we respond? I'm pro-choice and a mother, but I don't think I could support the decision to terminate under those circumstances. (eom) Mandi

Sorry, Mandi - didn't see your post and I posted kinda the same thing. I am pro-choice, but I too could not support aborting a baby under these circumstances.

I would have to think long and hard to decide how I feel about that. While I understand how a parent could be desperate enough to do just about anything to save her child's life - even including abortion - (and I can even understand Jack going along with it), I'm somewhat uncomfortable with the concept of bringing a new life into the world for spare parts. And, just to complicate matters even further, what about Dusty? It would be his child she would abort, and you can bet the farm he would want that child. I'm also uncomfortable with the idea of a willing father having no say in an abortion decision. This is an extraordinarily complex moral dilemma.... too complex for my feeble mind this morning. eom/D

Well, maybe Janet would think to consult a medical professional on the chances of her and Jack's baby being a bone marrow donor for Libby before she aborted Dusty's baby. However, I really see her lack of doing so is more due to sloppy writing as it has been the case in other medical story lines./mm

We've all speculated that Juicy is pregnant, but now that Jack has been sleeping with her as well, it could be possible she is pregnant by either man (wholesome, decent gal that she is). I would indeed prove to be a dilemma w/r/t her deciding to terminate a pregnancy just in case the baby is Dusty's. Would she do it, even considering the fact that the baby she and Jack create may not be a match?

I don't think it's possible at all. See my post above. A doctor can certainly tell Janet whether she's two MONTHS pregnant or two DAYS pregnant.. eom/D

I see now what you mean. But as mm (I think it was mm) pointed out, Janet and Jack also had sex one time shortly before Janet and Dusty had sex. It would take a DNA test to be certain the baby was Dusty's. Just to add one more wrinkle..... eom/D

I just vividly recall the disgusted expression on Jack's face when it was over. He couldn't get out of that bed and farmhouse fast enough. If they've slept together since, I missed it. That's not saying it didn't happen though. (eom) Mandi

Since the show is canceled we know what they probably won't do. Jack & Carly will reunite so I can't see her having the baby if Jack's the father. She likely miscarry. If it's Dusty's then Liberty's donor match will be revealed soon. Since being a father is what Dusty most I know he & Janet will have a baby or if she can't have more children after they marry or he'll get custody of Johnny again.

Dusty may get Johnnie when Craig goes to jail for robbing Parker's trust..but make no mistake....Janet doesn't give a rat's butt about anyone else's children. Jack's children were *especially Parker* not a priority for Janet..I don't see Johnnie being a priority..so that's a potential problem...and the whole story has been wrapped around having Jaaaaack's baby..
