Daniel Cosgrove joins ATWT

Soap Opera Digest has learned that Daniel Cosgrove (ex-Bill, GL) is heading to Oakdale and is set to air in early 2010. The actor — whose character name hasn't been released — joins former GL co-star Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan) who debuted this week on ATWT in the role of Mick Dante. DC is a doll...but I also wouldn't mind, when they're casting their net on former GL actors, if they'd also bring along some hunky man (Bradley Cole, for one) for the more *mature* women (there's been a man shortage far too long in Oakdale & Henry sure doesn't fit the bill).

That is great news! I love DC. Whoever he turns out to be, I will be glued to the TV so see those dimples! Even if he is yet another Chris Hughes.

Hopefully, DC won't be wasted on the character of Chris. Chris Hughes has been a character w/no direction & no focus ever since he was SORASd to 'adulthood'--along w/Adam & others. With every recast I am hopeful that this will change, but it never does & good actors get wasted in the role & labeled as being at fault.

DC has done a lot of soaps over the years, in addition to GL he was on OLTL. He has also been one of those rare actors who does a lot of things, besides soaps. He has managed to have a career that has included soaps & primetime.
