After some 30-plus years as a loyal viewer, I finally understand what many of you have posted regarding other characters as I now officially cannot even stand the SIGHT of Paul Ryan. No offense to RH, whom I like as an actor and actually find sexy at times, but to me the character has become so utterly repulsive that, for the first time, I have to FF his scenes once I see where they're going (well, even a 5-year-old could tell where they're going--to Meg's house), because I can't bear that whining and that ever-sour expression on his face. Either TPTB are making him so bad that a redemption is coming, or they just don't care about his character any more. Either way, I am saddened by this.

Oh God! What happened today? I have a feeling the writers don't care anymore whether he is likeable or not. I don't get why they think he needs to be tied to Meg in some way. I didn't think their relationship was anything special.

Chronic: Are any of Meg's relationships special? She's probably classified by the Navy as a friendly port! She is SUCH a dullard that I could never see what Paul saw in her. Emily, yes, at least she's not dull. But Meg is so NOTHING. As bad as Paul is, he deserves someone with some life in their body. But not Sofie--she doesn't qualify./ eom. soaphound.
