Holden blathered on to Emma today about how he was looking forward to making his marriage to Lily stronger, but he sure was awfully concerned about how he'd look in front of those intimidating, elitist camp counselors. We all know what snobby bitches they can be about clothing and such, don't we? And Holden doesn't want to "ruin the kids' chances of getting in."
Holden left the farm rockin' a tee shirt and bangs, waxing philosophical with the aid of country music, and most assuredly had nothing more on his mind than those summer camp admissions and "finding his way back" to his wife.
Yeah.

Message: Sorry..don't agree at all. Holden (John) is being given some scenes and a little story. I think he's doing a bang up job of ..again..holding his family together while his wife is off 'fixing' herself....his scenes with Carly, Emma, and the children have been great. He's animated and his pretty usual darn nice Dad..and he's actually there, interacting. I think it's great. and He is a darn nice looking man..red T-shirt and all.....besides..let him have a friend in Carly...what's good for the goose is good for the gander....

All I know is that if I'd been playing Emma when he asked that, my answer would have been "You look just FINE"

Message: Sorry - I gotta say that I thought the scene was funny and he was cute. He did look and act like a kid going out on his first date and I think that's what we were supposed to notice. I swear I like him with Carly. They currently have a pleasant, no-stress relationship. Holden has been miserable with and to Lily for a long time. It's nice to actually see some life in his face and I'm liking his character for the first time in years. Much of the time, Lily annoys me - too whiny. At least Carly's not groveling.....

Message: Yes, he was like a kid on his first date. But I do love how animated Holden is without Lily. Hensley has been a joy to watch in his scenes with Maura. Why couldn't we lose Lily for good? Luc hasn't even noticed she is gone. Holden could certainly move on and she doesn't do any good for her other children or her friends or her Mother. She can't run a business; all Lily can do is mope around and complain about her perfect life.

Message: MH, where did your child/children go to camp ? Our daughter went to Rockbrook Camp in Brevard, and we were invited to the party showcasing the camp...it was them wanting us to send her and not the other way around. She loved every summer !
