Additional Comments: Jack obviously feels guilty (as well he should) yet everyone seems to be quick to assure Jack that it was not his fault that he shot and killed his brother. But can someone explain to me that strange scene at Carly's with Craig and Roseanna? Seemed to be pointless, unless to show how Jack is becoming unhinged.

Message: Self flagellation. I don't think that scene was so hard to understand. Craig has never missed an opportunity to twist the knife where Jack is concerned. In fact, it was one of his favorite pastimes. Hell, he even quite disgustingly commended Jack on his ability to perform when Jack was raped. He was also quite good at knowing exactly what to say to get to Jack, though in the past Jack would never have admitted that. He had been avoiding really dealing with the guilt by throwing himself into work and trying to nail Manzo. Getting instant and undeserved (from his POV) forgiveness from Katie, though, was too much to handle and pushed him over the edge. Suddenly, Jack was desperate punish himself for Brad's death, and the one person who was sure to take his pound of flesh and not worry about things like decency and compassion would be Craig. Or so Jack thought.

Message: You've got to put it in context. They've got a long history of contempt, with Craig throwing out demeaning barbs and Jack pointing out each and every moral shortcoming the man has. Even this entire year, Craig has ridden Jack's ass, pointing out every failure as Parker's parent, and how he's driven Carly into the bottle.
While I'm not sure he purposely sought Craig out, Craig's offer of sympathy was too much for Jack to bear. Because he knows Craig can't stand him (and this is the man who literally joked about his rape--though I'm sure TPTB don't want to bring that up) and has never spared Jack's feelings. So if there was anyone who was going to call him a murderer, it was going to be Craig. Jack doesn't trust that no one blames him, because he does blame himself.
Given the way Craig laid into Henry, I was surprised he didn't lay into Jack with the same amount of venom.

Message: This shows remaining days will probably be full of over the top drama like we have been seeing. Only a cop who has completely lost it would pull a gun on two innocent people like Jack did today. Craig and Rosanna should have reported Jack to the police immediately. Jack is not safe to be out running around with that gun. The writers are making a big mistake if Jack gets by with what he has done. He went there without back-up, and he fired into a dark room without making sure what he was aiming at. His stupidity killed his brother. He could have killed Katie and her baby. Now that I have said that, I will say that I am glad Brad is dead. He is 'one' of the reasons that I quit watching. If they eliminate Meg the show will be better yet. Then it should be Janet's turn. :)

Damned if I know, MM. I am just not feeling this brother-shooting, soul-searching story so far- hoping it will improve on me. So far Jack is acting erratic and crazed like a junkie looking for a hit. MP is awesome with emotional scenes but Jack makes no sense. Does he want Craig to accuse and condemn him because his fragile ego won't allow him to admit it to himself and the rest of his friends/family treat him like the pope? He called Brad a *hot dog* or something for running off to rescue Katie- but it was that same stupid instinct that got Jack to run off after doing time on a bar stool and fire a gun into a black room where he knew at least one hostage was being held.
I am understanding correctly that Jack takes off on his trip in order to somehow help Katie? If true that is a big-time cop out- he needs to take off and figure out why he is such a prick. I do hope this story is the one to turn the character of Jack back around- what I am seeing so far is not very encouraging.

IRL, an off-duty cop who pulled his service revolver on someone, pointed it at them, cocked it etc. (I thought I heard that) would undoubtedly be arrested and suspended from his job pronto without pay. (There was just a report on a case on CNN (the cop who pulled his gun at the haunted house). So, maybe this is how they lead into the upcoming Jack storyline (based on spoilers).
