LMAO! The Homosexual Lifestyle Support Hotline?? The most telling thing about any of these right-wing religious fanatic organizations is how they feel the need to keep their followers in a comfortably brainwashed ignorance and simply give them orders.
"Procter & Gamble wants to know if you approve its efforts to promote the homosexual lifestyle. It has established a toll-free number for you to call and vote to approve or disapprove its support of homosexuality."
Really? That's what the 800 number is there for? I guess LYING is no longer considered a sin?
"The motive behind P&G’s push is to desensitize viewers, especially younger viewers, to the homosexual lifestyle. The ultimate goal of homosexual activists is homosexual marriage."
Wow, here I was thinking that the motive of a worldwide corporate conglomerate was to make a buck and all the while they're actually selling their products to support their role as "homosexual activists". Well, I fully support legalizing gay marriage, so I guess I better go buy some Tide and Crest.
"Call the toll-free number P&G has set up for the public regarding its promotion of the homosexual lifestyle. Call 1-800-331-3774 and click on option 2. Following the recording, click on option 2 again."
So... this is like a gay phone sex line or something? Yeah, great idea to just tell them which buttons to press (or in this case "click on"... what the hell kind of phones do these people use??) instead of letting them actually listen to the recording. Wouldn't want to take the chance that one or two of them might have an original thought of their own.
"Reproduce this letter and distribute to others — Sunday School class, church, coworkers, etc. Ask your pastor to put this information in the church bulletin and newsletter. "
If one my coworkers handed me a printout of this BS, that person would be dead to me. I love how these people think they have the right to tell everybody else in the world what to think and believe. I hate Katie Perretti. Does that mean I should print up fliers, harrass strangers, and misinform the masses to trick them into calling the production company to complain and threaten? (Well, if I thought it would work...)

Well like duh!
If you were a multi-billion dollar maker of oral hygiene products wouldn't you support open-mouth kissing too?

Message: I find it hilarious that some people get all offended & up in arms about the immorality of a homosexual storlyline on the soaps, lol! Oh yes, we must stamp out the evil disgusting portrayal of same sex love (which takes up about 10 minutes a week)... so we can get back to the wholesome lying, stealing, cheating on your spouse (but they are the opposite sex, as is the other participant, so it's ok), kidnapping, shootings, car bombs, long lost children running away from home to find parent who helped create them on prom night, & emotional abuse by loved ones... as long as it's a heterosexual relationship, bring it on! Anyone who takes moral cues from soaps has more to worry about than the portrayal of fictional characters showing love & concern for each other ('cuz they sure aren't getting anywhere close to actually having sex, lol).

Message: Am I to understand that if Luke and Noah kept their mouths closed during their kisses everything would be right with the universe (as determined by the AFA?)

Message: No, they won't end it "as it should be." Get with the program. This is how REAL life is. If you don't like what is going on on ATWT then turn the channel.

Message: Gay characters on soaps are here to stay. It may not always be Luke and Noah, but ATWT has proved that ratings won't go down if gay characters are on the soap. (bad writing causes ratings to go down)
Its my understanding that Van has recently resigned a contract and Jake is still there. If you don't like the storyline, either fast forward or stop watching.

Message: What a stupid site. Im sure that group has weekly book burnings too, something a member of the Nazi party would be proud of. If you dont like this storyline, stop watching the show or FF through it like most people do the stories their not interested in.

Message: P&G doesn't listen to outside voices, they never have. They will approve whatever their marketing people think will sell & can pass through focus groups. There is no organization or boycott that is going to change P&G's mindset. If that were true they wouldn't have ended production of AW!
No organization has approval (or disapproval) of storyline content either. From what I've seen & read, most of the folks who are, supposedly, advocating for more positive images of gays in the media are head over heels about ATWT having ANY gay storyline, whether it is well written, well conceived, realistic or not!
P&G has said that millions of fans could boycott their soaps & even tune out (becoming lapsed fans) & it wouldn't impact their bottom line in the least, or change their minds. I'm not sure why you think that the opinions of an outside organization would suddenly influence their decisions.

The AFA website says:
P&G has added homosexual lovers to its soap opera ''As the World Turns.''

Message: When has a boycott by the AFA ever worked? This organization has no power to end the storyline. Bad storytelling will get there faster.

NOT
The story is an important one. They should not abandon it.

So sad to see a group twist something into what is not. I see this story as a depiction of homosexuality, not a promotion. That's like saying that the story about Alison PROMOTED porn stars, or the storyline about Sofie PROMOTED having children out of wedlock
