Topic: Three cheers for Luke, Noah, Faith -- they're reasons to watch

Additional Comments: I can't believe some of the comments I've read. Luke and Noah are a great couple. Faith is a doll. You don't have to be gay to appreciate real love between characters, or a terrific young girl with a great personality.
The real shame on ATWT is that on Thursday Luke and Faith will have a fake mother. The outrage should be about that.

It's a shame how Martha Byrne, Lily#2 was treated, but that's also how my favorite Lily#3, Heather Rattray, was treated to allow Martha to return. So there won't be any outrage from me, provided Lily #4 is a talented actress.

Message: Luke and Noah are reasons to watch. Van is great! I love Jake too. I hope people do give Nu Lily a chance though.

Message: I'm just not going to waste my time being outraged because a character has been recast. That's part of daytime. I much prefer a recast than killing off of an interesting character. I enjoyed Martha Byrne all these years, but I want to give this new actress a chance and hope that she will become Lily to me.

Message: The operative phrase is 'Real Love'. I've never seen a genuine moment between Luke & Noah. IMO, it has always been forced & superficial. I've never seen any potential for them in the long, or short term. Now I would have bought something happening between Kevin (?) & Luke--they started out as longtime friends. I could have seen an organic story between them, w/Kevin being in denial & coming to terms w/his sexuality. But Noah has always seemed like just the gimmick of the moment to me.
I've never seen Faith as anything more than ffw'd material. It isn't that actress, but the crappy dialog she has. There is no substance to the character! She should be far more interesting than we've been seeing.

LOL, their mother is fake! THEY are fake! The whole show is fake! *RME*
And I hate how those who do not like the Nuke storyline are talked about. I don't like it, but it has nothing to do with them being gay. I just do not think Jake is a good actor and I think he brings Van down when they are in scenes together. I find them boring as a couple. It has nothing to do with them being gay!
But I'll agree with you about Faith.. she is a doll!

Message: I get what you are implying but these are actors playing unreal parts on a fictional soap opera. As far as the writing goes..you will never know the difference. Our professional actors, kids and all, will pick up right where they left off and make this new actress their Mother. They will love her just the same because they are playing a part in a soap and it is their job to make it work. The show will just say 'the part of Lily is now being played by so and so'.. It happens all the time like on Broadway..many different top actors play the same part in the same play and each takes their turn making the part special to them and the theater goers. It will work if the fans are not critical from the begining..and give this actress some respect and time. We all grew to like Casey..right. Anyone can be replaced even the President of the USA.

How can they have a fake mother? Since none of these people are REAL, how can their mother be fake...because the actress portraying her is different? Does that mean every time a character is recast that character now becomes fake? In that case, Luke AND Faith are fake, too.
