Topic: I know that I am beating this dead horse but are we ever going to see...

Additional Comments: Paul and Emily cross paths with Janet and rub her face in her siccing UR, a blood thirsty killer, on them? Contrary to Janet's protestations of innocence, I seem to remember her continuing to ask UR to intervene in the adoption issue on her behalf in order to convince Pemily to give up adopting Liberty's kids. Paul finally told Janet that he didn't appreciate her sending "Paulie Walnuts" over there to threaten him and Emily and Janet smugly declared that she didn't know what he was talking about. However, according to her, she knew all along WHAT UR was and was angry that Teri had been fooled by him. So either Janet lied about not knowing she was engaging the services of a thug to lean on Paul and Emily or she lied about knowing that UR was a thug all along.

Are the writers really going to ignore this inconsistency? Janet is no Katie. The viewers aren't going to shrug this off like so many do w/r/t Katie and her hypocrisy. The woman is not as "endearing", "cute" or "likable" as Katie has made herself over the years and the writers have changed Janet from being a home wrecking tramp to St. Jugs overnight so the transformation isn't believable.

Yes, I think they have decided to make Janet a saint and with selective memory.

  • I think the writers have selective memory when it comes to the ignorant bully. We were supposed to ignore the fact that the high and mighty Catholic came to town slutting around after a married man. We were supposed to ignore that a woman of such high moral virtue would enter into a butt-buddy relationship. As far as the writers are concerned, Janet came to town a teetotaling almost-virgin. Linny, I'll join you in beating that dead horse. I've often mentioned Janet's lack of acknowledgement for sending a mobster to Paul and Emily's home. I think we have about as much chance of seeing her apologize for, or even acknowledge, siccing a thug on prospective adoptive parents. Let's not overlook the fact that Ralphie's adoption lawyer was most likely shady. How else would criminal nuts like Paul and Emily even been considered? I do wish Emily would blast Janet; however, I fear that raging bully would chew Emily up and spit her out. June Cleavage is one of the loudest, meanest, nastiest characters I have seen in a long time. There is absolutely nothing to like about this trashy pile of hair and fun bags.

I doubt there's a snowball's chance in Hell TIIC are ever going to put Paul and Jan in the same room again, and have him go Stenbeck on her ass. Or even make a smart assed remark about her precious Mob Uncle Ralph. Paul's occasionally crazy, but he's not that crazy. Who knows how many more "uncles" Jan has?

I think we're not supposed to like Jan much anymore. Not that I did, but she's become very off-putting between manipulating her daughter, nagging her husband and trampling all over her sister.
At least when Katie became an out and out bitch, she lost everything she had. And it's taken TIIC years to make her sympathetic again.

Count me in.  I'll take the club for a spin.  Anything to get that stupid June Cleavage to spill her true knowledge of Uncle Ralphie and all that transpired with him right up to the Brad shooting.  For her to say that it was Teri who brought him to town and told everyone he was so great just makes me hot!  And again yesterday she was pounding on Teri for it and berating her for not knowing what food Libby likes/doesn't like!  Of course, that's not surprising because I'm sure she is still jealous about the manicotti or lasagne and Teri going to culinary school and all.

Yes, Paul & Emily (especially Emily because she is so good at the cat fights!) should come over to Janet's kitchen (another thing I'd like to see her brought down several pegs for) and read her the riot act for sending Uncle Ralphie over to harrass them and just generally being involved in Liberty's pregnancy.  They should tell Liberty about it too.  And I agree that Katie should come talk to Liberty and then she could admit it was her stupid fault for starting it all in motion too...not Henry's.  Yes, I agree Audrey should be brought to task for bringing Uncle Ralphie to town, but Katie was the stupid one to do what she did...noone asked her to intervene and wouldn't have or wouldn't have told her it was OK to.

    Let's bury June Cleavage!

  • Why would Katie admit to any such foolishness. Love Henry, hate Henry, the whole mess began with him. Love Katie, hate Katie, she was no more than a victim of Uncle Ralph just like Brad. She lost her husband out of this whole ordeal and Henry lost nothing that he didn't deserve to lose. He gets to bounce back and become the little self-serving gnat he has always been while Katie is blamed. Give me a break.
  • I'm sorry but I won't give you a break where Katie is concerned - NOONE, especially not Henry, asked her to go intercede with Uncle Ralphie and she should have known better - her sister is the chief of police - why didn't she just call her or go to the station about it? But, no, as usual, she has to take matters into her own hands and look where it got her and it got her husband killed. She has to take the blame for it...sure Henry deserves to take some blame for being involved, but he didn't start the kidnapping or cause the shooting. sizzle
  • Katie is a victim because she made herself one. As sizzle said, Katie and Katie alone decided to confront a man she knew was capable of extreme violence all by herself during a difficult pregnancy. Katie and Katie alone decided not to tell her cop sister or her husband where she was going. And Katie and Katie alone made the stupid mistake of threatening this thug on the roof of an isolated warehouse. Brad's dead because he decided he needed to rescue his stupid, reckless wife and unborn child without any police backup whatsoever. The man didn't even call his brother fcol. Yes, his death is a tragedy. But Katie and Brad all played significant roles in that tragedy. eom Linny
  • Thanks for the support Linny. I haven't voiced much about Brad's own involvement in his death, but you make a great point - why didn't he call his brother when he found out where she was being kept so they could have gone together - but then we all know why, because Jack had to shoot him to make the story. But, in many ways, Brad is responsible for his own death too. WAY too many stupid actions/choices ended in a really awful tragedy! sizzle

Well if I was a betting man it's 50/50 if this "major issue" finally gets addressed. Jack's two beers certainly came out & I for one want this obssessive lunatic to come face to face with her own demons & her own hypocracy. She deserves  every painful thing coming her way & it has nothing to do with a J&C reunion either.
