Subject: ICAM. And since that time, Jake has steadily improved....now he's better than some of the veterans on the show, as to why they're still around is beyond me. /mia

Subject: Why Jake is still there is beyond me. No way is he better than any vets. Obviously TPTB aren't worried about him going anywhere since they have never offered him a contract in over 2 years. That says alot.

Subject: Actually, Jake's contract status doesn't say much of anything. ATWT doesn't have a daytime vet like Julie Pinson on contract either. Mick Hazen and Meredith Hagner have been featured as the show's big lure for the teen set, yet neither of them are on contract. Ewa Da Cruz has been Henry's main squeeze for a long time, still no contract. Paolo Seganti, no contract. Tom Pelphrey, no contract, etc. They even took the popular Dylan Bruce off contract and tried to move him to recurring. In short, what TPTB at this particular show do with contracts reflects little upon acting ability. Moreover, they've got some people on contract that are only used once a month, if that. - Ty
