Subject: Who knows whether the writers gave a thought to the imaginary risks of that imaginary procedure? I know I'm repeating myself, but in real life, stem cells from a fetus mean ABORTION. If it were really possible to aspirate stem cells out of a fetus and transplant them into an infant, no way would the fetus remain viable, and Emily would have had to sign a form stating that she understood that the pregnancy would have to be terminated surgically if it did not spontaneously abort. Of course, such a procedure would never be attempted in the first place because it's less complicated to perform the abortion first and then try to obtain stem cells. If the writers wanted to be ''topical,'' they should have written the story as a controversy. Is it ethical to abort a fetus to save a child's life? Is it fair to make abortion part of a plea bargain? Is Emily mentally competent to make a decision to abort a child that she wants? Instead, the writers gave us a bunch of misinformation and moved on to Jennifer making long speeches after her lungs failed.

Subject: Actually, Jennifer Ryan was healthy up until her mother was locked in a barn. That day, she told Henry that she had just been to the doctor and that mother and baby were both fine and healthy - aside from the preeclampsia Emily had been diagnosed with, but even so, again the doctor said she was fine that day. So the donating did not harm the baby./nyrangers11
