I think it's Sammie who lives in Southern Illinois and I was wondering if she felt the earthquake or anyone else on the board. My sister lives 136 miles north of the epicenter, so I'm sure she got a rude awakening this monring.

Message: Hi maggimae. I live in central Illinois and I was up at 4:30 that morning but did not feel a thing. My daughter lives in the Chicago area and and was sound asleep and it woke her and her husband up. Weird isn't it. We also had after shocks that were felt here but I didn't feel any of them either.

Message: i didn't feel the original earthquake, but a few hours later there was an "aftershock" that registered 4.5 that i definitely felt. it was really odd. my dog started spazzin' out right before it happened, and also right after. so...i guess it's true that animals have that "sense". but it just kinda felt like a big truck drove by the house and shook things up a bit...
