Topic: If you have seen the movie Juno

Additional Comments: please give me your take on it. Maybe I'm old fashioned but it seems to send the wrong message to teens. It was a well written movie with a strange outcome so it was interesting for adults.

I liked this movie enough to watch it twice. I thought it was well-written and entertaining. But I do agree that it did ''glorify'' teen pregnanacy a tad too much. She did make the best choices possible and was a smart kid, but it is only a movie and realistically these things could not happen. Her Dad was way too nice and understanding. The perfect parents (almost) don't happen, especially after the advertising she did. And the ending just wouldn't happen IRL. But I really liked the movie and didn't feel bad about watching it with my granddaughter.

Great topic.  Could get heated though!  lol.  I finally saw Juno when it came on PPV.  I wanted to see it because I'd watch talk shows with the women saying, "Have you taken your daughter to see Juno, yet?  You better!"...with me figuring it would send a great message to teenage girls to 1)not have sex, or 2) use protection.  The way they taunted this movie as a public service announcement was misleading.

They did nothing but glorify her pregnancy.  Family had no problem with her pregnancy, boyfriend had no problem, she found Mrs. Perfect to take in baby.  In what universe would this happen?  lol.  She didn't experience any negativity which most girls her age do.  Is it any wonder teenage pregnancy has risen the past year?  Just saying....lol

I absolutely loved this movie! And I really loved the way it ended. Unfortunately teenagers do experiment and get pregnant...it's a very sad situation. But I think she made the best possible choices. This is a movie that I could watch a few times...and I don't say that about many movies. It was very well written and well performed.
