Congress is afraid to act. It's your money. Write to your representatives and write to President elect Obama:

Let them know we want our money back.
Oh and BTW, it turns out Wall Street is using what they've gotten of the 700 billion dollar bailout, you know, the one we knew about while the other one was being sneaked by us, to give themselves bigger bonuses than they've ever gotten before.
At least someone will be having a happy holiday.
It's your money! If someone broke into your home and stole what was yours you'd fight back. If someone stole your car you'd fight back. If someone stole your identity you'd fight back.
Write, write WRITE!

This administration has been all about over-stepping their authority to achieve their ends. I could list them but we all have lived through the last eight years have we not? There have been so many high crimes that adding outright robbery to the list can bring no response- I suppose everyone is simply numb, or dumb, or perhaps they don't care.
I guess this is what happens when we let basically one guy call the shots. And instead of buying up mortgages as they said they would with the 700 billion windfall- they are just writing billions of dollars in checks to the banks to do with as they please? Oh yeah, the record shows they will invest that wisely.
What is worse than what is happening now, is what WILL happen if they let the auto industry fall. Back in September, they told us there was no alternative, it was unthinkable not to bail out our financial industry. To be frank, short of an uprising of some sort, I don't think anyone had any intention of NOT passing that bailout- I don't think there was any way we could have stopped them short of turning off the tv and getting on our feet. But now they balk at saving millions upon millions of jobs directly effected if Detroit falls? Why do I get the feeling the desire is to once and for all destroy what is left of unions in this country? Why the frenzied mad dash to save white collar- but the indifference for the blue collar?
How nice it will be for god knows how many retirees to wake up one morning pretty soon to no pension and no health insurance after working for these companies for decades. And millions of families, no insurance and no income. If they let this happen, what we have seen so far will be the tip of the iceberg.
