Hey Fee, I wanted to wait until this darn storm passed to see how it was your way. I read somewhere else that you too lived in FL. We got 2 ft. of rain here where I live. The water is now starting to go down and I am starting to get back to routine. How much total did you get? We are starting to call this storm tropical flood Fay instead! I hope that all is well with you!

Hey! I posted about what was going on here in the topic above that lizzard wrote to me! Here's the LATEST!!!
We thought she was gone, but now she's BACK!!! It's been raining again hard off and on all morning. We've had about two feet of rain. The immediate flash flooding is over. But we always have TWO floods! The first part is the flash flood part, the second part is the part where the other runoff areas build up, and it takes several days, getting worse each day. Right now we have about 200 roads closed (or so) in our county; roads washed out, culverts collapsed, etc. And this has happened AFTER Fay left! Next we'll be having all of Georgia's runoff water, and that will keep building up. We have a lot of hills here, so the water runs off into the valleys and floods everyone out there; along with (of course) the regular Georgia runoff from the rivers and creeks. The lakes have gone CRAZY around here, and are flooding homes almost a block away from them! It's really gotten ugly! We should have our worst in 2-3 days! I'll come back and report later! Thanks for asking! And I am SO GLAD I don't live in Brevard county!!!! I grew up in Orlando, and I'm wondering how they're doing there!!! (Florida was NOT made for floods!!!)
