Additional Comments: Has anyone used any of the free services? I'm going to have to drop my highspeed, and have been seriously considering going to free. Doesn't look like the pickings are as good as they used to be! netzero is only giving 10 hours a month for free. That is not enough for me. But I'd love to hear any experiences ya'll have had with any of the free or really cheap providers.

Message: Fee, I'd do without food and water before I gave up my DSL! lol. Our DSL went down one morning last week, so I got the laptop out and used Dial-up. Oh my gosh, it was soooo slow. It takes all the fun out of surfing the net.

Message: I used a couple of them many years ago. I don't think they even exist anymore. Tbey were pretty awful...lots of flashing ads (and probably spyware) to make up for the fact that they were free and very slow since they were dial-up. Back then everything was dial-up, so it wasn't so bad, but once you've used highspeed, you can't go back. Not if you're online a lot-might be OK for people who only go online a couple of hours a week.
