It is a sad state when classic Soap fans and especially AW fans mean NOTHING to SoapNet! A Network that claimed to be all about Classic Soap Operas! Now, I see that they put RH on for an hour at 5 in the morning or something like that on the weekends! Gee, how nice of them! They can't even give AW an HOUR a Week! I mean, give me a break!
You know, I would be happy with at least an hour! The really sad thing is that they went out of their way to be all about classic soaps, and now there weekly lineup doesn't even have any! I mean two hours of Dallas in a row every day and repeated in case you didn't see the first two hours! I mean, I like Dallas and everything, but the show is out on DVD!! AW is NOT! Why throw a bunch of loyal viewers overboard for no reason at all! It makes no sense to me! Sorry, everyone, but this really gets on my nerves. I mean, I couldn't wait for the rest of the episodes of AW coming up right now. There is just so much going on right now with Cass and Frankie and Kathleen, and the return of Carl has been Amazing! It shows me just how much better AW is then ANYTHING on the air right now! AW is Magic and to have SoapNet do this to the loyal viewers right now is a disgrace!

I was happy to get Ryan's Hope back - I called and protested a few years back when they took RH back to the beginning of when the show started - supposedly to attract new fans. They were just getting to the part where they went back to the beginning, so I was happy about that, then they put it on twice a week! I called again, protested, mentioning that I was promised that even though it was going back to the beginning, it would be shown in its entirety.
We did get it back - for now, as with Soapnet you never know - and I believe it is only because it is an ABC soap, so maybe they don't have to pay for it. I truly believe that is the only reason and, at this point, I will be very surprised if they do carry it to the end. I mean, RH was only on from 1975 to 1989, and just one half-hour a day. They could have been done with the whole run by now for goodness sake if they had not gone back to the beginning. RH, probably because it took place in NYC, is my all-time favorite American soap.
I am watching AW on AOL and I am sure they will show the 90s episodes. With RH, the only place to see it is via Soapnet. Just keep writing to AOL.
