If you are dying you are able to donate your organs to whomever you choose- if the man leaves a last will or some kind of directive then his heart goes to whomever he wants- has nothing to do with a waiting list-a friend of mine had a terminal illness that effected many organs but she was still able to will her kidney to someone of her choice -so you own your body even when your dead if you leave clear instructions. Him being a lawyer will probably create something air tight and that is that.

First, I have NEVER heard of someone shot getting a heart transplant, but I realize this is a soap! How fortunate Katie is to get ahead of people waiting for YEARS to get a heart. STUPID, STUPID WRITING! Oh wow, we get to see Stormie taking a Logan memory trip before he blows his brains out. How very touching! I'll have tissues handy.

You mean that Steph and Eric have not even signed divorce papers? WTH? Didn't we see in an earlier divorce (I forget which one) that it takes 6 months in CA for a divorce to finalize? Donna has a lot of time to plan her wedding. Maybe Pammie won't kill her by then!

Hi Roxie, Yes, this sl leaves much to be desired but, in fact, a person can move up on the heart transplant list if his or her life is in immediate danger of dying soon as Katie's is. Everyone else gets bummped for the life threatening situation. As for Storm leaving his heart to Katie, that also happend in the movie AWAKE. The mother of the person who needed a heart transplant killed herself to give her heart to her son. I think it was that movie. Anyhow that's my comment for today. J.

Well shucks, I guess this mean Katie won't die. in RL there is no way she would be put ahead of others on the list. Chubby will stay on the show afterall!!

Chubby? Why would you call her that? Alot of people talk about her like she's gorgeous which I don't understand, but she is not chubby.
