If this sudden tragedy is supposed to make me change my mind and feel for the Logans, it hasn't worked. I haven't read any spoilers so I don't know if Katie lives or dies, but the bottom line is this wouldn't have happened if they hadn't decided to cover for that lunatic Storm. And then there's Bridget horrifically hoping and practically praying that someone in LA dies (actually multiple deaths so she could find a suitable donor) to save Katie. I was hoping someone with a friend or relative in ICU would have overheard her and gotten in her face. TPTB have succeeded in making all of the Logans so completely unsympathetic that this family tragedy doesn't register any emotions no matter how many tears Brooke, Donna, Storm and Bridget shed.

Message: I agree, the whole thing was very over the top, though I'll get credit to the actors and producers and such for execution. But I didn't get teary or feel sympathy for the selfish, pain self inflicting Logans.

Message: It stirred emotions in me! W. Devry rocked the house in his last scenes today KKL brought home the bacon, even j. Gareis did a bangup job. A. jones did a fantastic job as well. I was incredibly moved. i hardly ever watch this dumb show anymore because it is so boring, but today was well worth turning on the dvr. It was a day that I can say was incredible to watch. I am only sorry that a complex, flawed mess like Storm died to save such a fuddyduddy, meddlesome bore as Katie.
Comment that may be a spoiler. Stop reading if you don't want to know. :)
I think the whole thing with Stephen donating his heart to Katie is just a way to let his character leave with some dignity, if that's posssible considering how he shot Steph and how he has been acting since that shooting. JMHO

Message: the problem is the whole thing is just so over the top - hard to feel anything for the story. plus if storm had actually been a sympathetic character then perhaps i'd be in a different place on this. the truth is we as an audience don't know much about katie or storm ... at least not these recent versions ... so its hard to muster much. brooke is unsympathetic too ... i mean the way she's been with taylor the last few months doesn't make her tears mean much to me. and sorry watching the woman who plays donna try to emote and cry doesn't help the situation at all.
and really? didn't the doctor say on friday katie had like 30 minutes or something like that ... it seems to me way more time than that has passed.
the whole thing is just dumb and pathetic ... i didn't like the logan family before this and that hasn't changed.

Message: Not only do I not feel sorry for the Skanky Sisters (their brilliant strategy of keeping Storm's secret helped lead to this) but I can't muster up any sympathy for that psycho stalker Storm either. So if that's what this storyline was designed to do, it failed miserably.
The fact that this board is dead is proof that this storyline doesn't stir much emotion. Way too predictable.
May sweeps have started.

Message: This storyline was soooo predictable, so it didn't stir any emotions from me, either.
