Ingy is correct! This is a prime example of a hostile takeover and Bill is only using Katie as his puppet to help him do so.

That is exactly what it is.  A hostile takeover is when one company attempts to purchase another company against that company's will.  FC is fighting the sale, that's the classic definition of a hostile takeover.
