WHY can't they find someone more age appropriate? We are to believe that this woman is Rick and Bridget's GRANDMOTHER? Rick and Bridget are old enough to be parents, so that means she could easily be a GREAT-grandmother. This just highlites the ridiculous challenges that older actresses in Hollywood face! It's bad enough that Nick and Jackie look the same age, not to mention Donna and her adult son. Sheesh!!!

Maybe the sl will be that she had experimental ''fountain of youth'' type procedures done, which affected her mind (chemicals can cause weird reactions in some people, while being perfectly safe for others)... this would explain both her extremely youthful appearance & avoidance of her children & past (which would out her age to anyone who can do simple math, plus remind her of her age despite her appearance). Whattya think?

That is definitely bad casting. The actress is way too young to be playing MOTHER to the Logan clan. And by the way, does anyone know what is up with her playing such a "cold fish" like she doesn't care about her kids?

I just had to look it up. Robin Riker is 55, playing Brooke's mother who will be 47 next month. Jack Wagner is 48, Leslie-Anne down is 54. Ronn Moss is 56 and John McCook 64. Oh and Jennifer Gareis 38, Texas Battle 28. I just don't get it!

Yes, that's about what she looks like. Like most said....she definitely looked older, but definitely not old enough to any of their's, Mom.

I agree. Beth DOES indeed look younger than Brooke. I do not understand why they could not hire an age-appropriate actress to play this part! What would be the problem with having an older woman to play Beth? I don't know what they are trying to accomplish with this, but it is just too unrealistic to take seriously. This woman was in college with Eric and Stephanie, FCOL! Just look at her beside Stephanie and even our best imagination cannot pull this off.

IMO, no way does she look younger than Brooke. To me, this Beth looks to be in her mid to late 50's with a pull-back. Puts me to mind of Jackie, who I think is an attractive older woman who looks to be in her early to mid 60's, with having had some very good work done.

I have to admit, I did chuckle a bit when I saw her and thought NO way is the she mother of an almost FIFTY year old woman. I can buy some fudging with ages, but this is ridiculous! And there's something weird about her looks that I can't put my fingers on.

Maybe not younger, but too young to be her Mother, especially knowing what the former Beth looked like and she was just right for playing Brooke's Mother. Maybe she hasn't been visiting or coming around because she's been having a lot of cosmetic surgery lately and this will explain everything.

She reminds of a combination of both Jill Eikenberry who played Dudley Moore's fiance in "Arthur" and Mariska Hargitay. Geezzz....Beth was somewhere in her forties when B & B debuted in 1987, which would make her around 65 today. And here she is looking a hard-to-believe 50. That's what I wanna do, age a few years in a span of 20 years......Hollywood!!!!

And then there's Lesley Anne Down who's the "drop-dead gorgeous" in face and figure mother of Nick Marone. Looking at them on the plane yesterday they looked more like husband and wife than mother and son. Jacqui looks outa-sight for her age. Very attractive woman.

She looks WAY too young to be Brooke, Katie and Donna's mother. For some reason, she reminds me of Priscilla Presley (maybe the face lift?). csd

I do not get why they got someone that young to play Beth. She and Stephanie and Eric are around the same age. Everybody including her husband and Ridge has gray hair, and looks older. What is wrong with this picture? She looks younger than Ridge and Nick. There should be some balance here. Jackie looks young, but she still looks like she could be in her 50's. Beth looks 45 and she is suppose to be 60 or older. To be consistent they could have gotten an older actress that looks great instead of getting one that looks like her daughters are her sisters. They need a mother figure.

Beth should be near 70 at this point. Crooke is at least 45 and Beth had already had Storm before Crooke was born. When B&B debuted, Crooke had just graduated college and was starting her career. Storm had already graduated college, attended law school, and been practicing law for a while. That puts him about 5 years Crooke's senior. But, of course, age is a VERY relative thing on B&B. ~i&b

You are so right, they throw age out the window on this show and most others too.
