Pick the one you MOST think applies, though you might think several apply. The reason Storm killed himself is mostly
1. To avoid prison
2. To give a heart to his sister
3. Because he was insane.
ALSO, by doing it, Storm was:
1. Very courageous and noble
2. Very cowardly
3. Too crazy to tell. Unbalanced and incapable of making a rational determination.

I've already explained my position in previous posts:
The reason why Storm killed himself was:
4. GUILT
Also, by doing it, Storm was:
4. TRYING TO REDEEM HIMSELF THROUGH SELF-SACRIFICE

Good question by the way.
I think Stormy did this to give Katie his heart, but it's because he felt so guilty for putting her in that position (as well he should feel).
It's hard for me to say it's noble, but in a way, he sacrificed his life for her in order to right a wrong he committed.

Question 1 - 1 and 2, and possibly 3, but I think prison was very far from his mind considering his sister was on her death bed due to an accident he was involved in, but did not cause imo.
Question 2 - I think anyone who commits suicide is unbalanced and incapable of making a rational determination or they would not take their life in the first place. I think this situation changes my overall thoughts on suicide. I think he was brave to do it to save Katie, but overal I think suicide is a selfish act. I also think anyone who does it is out of their minds and do not understand at that point what they are doing or are going to do to thier loved ones once they are gone.

All three for the first question. As for the second question, he obviously was unbalanced and incapable of making a rational determination, but he did save his sister, therefore redeeming himself. However, this whole thing could have been avoided if he hadn't been a coward and faced the consequences for what he did to Stephanie.

Message: I would say 1, 2 and 3 combined and he did it because 2 and 3. I've stated in other posts, that IMO there is NO circumstance to call a suicide courageous.

Message: certainly his primary reason was to give his heart to katie - however, also knowing the cops were coming for him played into that decision (he never took responsibility for his actions with stephanie ... and he was still making lame excuses for all of it right up until the end. i think knowing the cops were going to arrest him helped make the decision an easier one).
and for me - suicide is never a noble or courageous act.

Message: I haven't seen these scenes yet so it's very hard to say, but it does seem that Storm's main motivation was to save his sister. That makes him courageous in my eyes!

Message: 2 and then 3. I don't think fear of prison motivated him much at all. I think it was guilt because he was always his sisters' protector and he failed one of them in the worst way. I think he feared the guilt of being his sister's killer, if she did die, more than he feared prison. Was he courageous and noble? I'm not sure. Given his warped state of mind and his family history forcing him into the role of father-figure for his little sisters, I don't think he could have chosen anything else. I really think he felt like he had no choice.

I think that it's MOST likely Storm did it in order to give his sister his heart. And that makes him very courageous and noble.
