at all in the last few days, even if  it's only one or two little ones from your left eye?

I'm tough, and I've really been taken down.   Thought today I was going to make it through, until the end with the way Katie and Donna were carrying on.   Donna has just been SO pathetic through all this, I've felt just AWFUL for her, and I detested her before.  (Sensational acting!)  And Katie today was just fabulous!   I totally see emmys in the offing for next year for this.  Phenomenally done!

During lunch today, a girl 10 times meaner than me (I know you don't believe it, but it's true), was watching yesterday's show on the internet, and you should have HEARD her balling and sniffling!   I was making fun of her, too!   (Glad nobody did that to me while I was watching!)  (I had to, because we always try to outsmack each other, so I HAD to get my digs in!)

I watch with my sister, and we both have to pretend we're not crying to save face!  (We have to do it QUIETLY!)

Once again HT hits it out of the park! I miss her so much on YNR - waste for her on B&B for the most part but she takes lame and makes it sing! She really got to me -but I agree that she sould not have been told so soon after her surgery- they should have kept her in a coma or sedated until the heart had some time- she has more people coming through her room then Grand Central Station! Get them the fig out and let the girl rest! GMAFB - seriously get a grip! Put her to sleep already and have everyone cry and overact in the hall!

Yes, oh yes, I have been crying like Jimmy Swaggart for days!  I'm not sure exactly why, but this whole thing with Storm (who I've been frustrated with b/c he was getting away with so much, and his sisters were aghast at anyone pointing this out to them) really hit me.  The scenes with he and Brooke, and then Brooke and Duhnna, literally had me not just weeping, but sobbing.

Look what KKL can do when Bell gives her something to do other than whining, manipulating, and stealing. . . I thought the SL has been really good.

I am raising my hand high! I have cried at the last three episodes...talk about sad! At least Brooke is crying out of both eyes in this story...haha

And I have to note that I almost feel sorry for Storm...yes, he planned and shot Stephanie, while framing his dad. The problem is the cover up. It got swept under the rug by all of them and I feel that's where everything went wrong.

I don't get why they wrote him creepy towards the end with Ashley, like he was this unstable character. Storm has always been a good guy with good intentions, up until the shooting. I know the creepyness was storyline dictated to the build up of shooting Katie and his exit...but come on...

I also don't get why he felt the need to show Ashley the gun...that was stupid. And with Katie seeing what she did, and seeing the fear on Ash's face, I understand why she freaked out, but that scene could have been done differently..in my opinion.

SO then there is Storm in the hospital feeling horrible about the shooting, which he SHOULD, but when he sat there remembering life with his sisters, it was a very sympathetic moment for me. I think he chose to "give Katie his heart" only because he knew his life was over..freedom, anyway...he knew that no one would believe this shooting was an accident. It was a cowardly thing to do...anytime ANYONE kills them self..it's the cowards way out...but in this story, Storm will die a hero because he basically saved Katie's life by taking his own...

    I dunno...what a mess....but yes, I cried....a lot.

Well I didn't cry,  I'm really a hard person to make cry when watching movies or t.v shows.  Sally Field usually does a good job of making me cry,  like she did in the movie Steel Magnolias,  or even An Eye for an Eye.  Heather Tom did do a good job of almost getting me there though,  she is really a good actress.  I was sad when she left Y&R.  One thing about that hospital scene though was why would they give her that letter right then?  I work in a hospital,  and I have worked in the cardiology unit before,  and I can tell you for a fact,  right after any type of open heart surgery,  the heart is very unstable,  especially a transplanted heart.  I have seen patients go into cardiac arrest right after surgery,  then they have to open them up and massage the heart to get it going again.  They would have been better off lying to Katie about Storm until she was strong enough to hear the truth.  Her heart rate was going crazy when they were reading that letter.  Bridgett should really have known better,  but this being a soap,  I guess they did it for dramatic effect,  just like having Bridgett operating on her,  which is something else that would never happen.

  • Wasn't that just STUPID???????? My mouth fell open when I saw her stupo sister was going to give her that letter! What an IDIOT!!!! fee
  • Yeah, that was just plain stupid. Brooke and Duhna looked like Dumb and Dumber reading that letter and carrying on like that in front of their sister who JUST HAD A HEART TRANSPLANT! Grrrh.

I cried yesterday when Katie started asking for Storm, and here's what a wimp I am - I had to change the channel after that scene went to commercial break.  Just too sad for me!  I can't take it.  Heather Tom has always been able to make me cry, though.  I haven't been effected by Brooke and Donna's tears yet, but I don't really take KKL or Jennifer Gareis seriously as actors, so that would explain why.

I also turned off the show the other day, right after Storm sat there, sadly looking at his family photo.  He had the gun, so I knew he was getting ready to shoot himself, and I didn't want to see it.  It was way too dark and sad.

I really liked the actor that played Storm.  He got a raw deal.  I hope he finds another acting gig soon.

  • I didn't take either donna or brooke seriously till all this started going on. Donna has REALLY stepped up! Sorry, though, I still can't take Brooke seriously! And ITA about the WD. I hope he gets something good! They should snatch him up on ATWT!!!! fee
  • You're right about Donna, she really HAS stepped up! I watched it today, and her acting really blew me away. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. However, KKL still isn't impressing me, her tears are as forced as ever. It's embarrasing to watch Brooke in these scenes. Patrick Duffy, Jennifer Gareis and Heather Tom blew her out of the water today. They all did a fantastic job. Poor Storm. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get to see the actor who played him soon in something else.........nina

My eyes welled up, but no tears.

One thing I'd like to say  is that Heather Tom gave an award winning performance today.  I'll betcha she will be among the nominees in next years daytime emmy's, and todays scene is the one they will show.   I don't believe I've seen acting like that on any of the CBS soaps in a while !

    Kudo's to Heather Tom !

Not even close.  This whole storyline has been very poorly written, IMO.

  • I'm with you - not even a sniffle - more like a snort. It's such a ridiculous storyline. Hmmm....remember when Taylor got shot? Think maybe Stephen whisked Storm away and is nursing him back to health to reappear in a few years? Doubtful. Storm didn't add anything to this show - he was a filler character. Not that he couldn't have been more - but TPTB don't like to stray away from the main characters.
  • yeah i didn't come close to crying and believe me ... i'm a crier! i think one of the main issues with the story is i didn't care about storm one way or another. and i knew there was no way katie was dying ... so no suspense either. i found this whole thing poorly written and over the top ridiculous.
  • Not one tear.
