RIDGE CONFESSES TO BROOKE
Having promised Taylor that he would keep mum about their one-night stand (he was hopped up on anti-anxiety medication when it happened), Ridge then decides to come clean with Brooke, after all."He loves Brooke and he's always promised there would be no secrets between them," reasons Ronn Moss.
Not surprisingly Taylor, who was humiliated that Ridge only made love to her because of the pills, isn't in favor of him clearing his conscience. "Taylor is heartbroken and urges him to keep their secret," says Moss. "But Ridge tells her that he needs to be honest with Brooke about what happened." Taylor eventually gives in because, notes Moss, "She realizes Ridge not telling Brooke will only cause him more pain and she doesn't want that for him."
After Nick and Bridget's wedding, Ridge and Brooke spend some alone time together. "He tells her everything and she's devastated," explains Moss. "She can't believe what she is hearing! She had just thanked Taylor for taking care of Ridge and being there for him during this difficult time. Now she feels like a fool."
The fact that Ridge was taking Taylor's medicine does little to lessen Brooke's pain - and anger. "After Ridge tells her the truth and Brooke has said a few choice words to him, she flies out of the house," sets up Moss. "Of course, Ridge knows that she's on her way to confront Taylor."
Ridge heads over to Taylor's house, too, where Brooke accuses the shrink of manipulating Ridge with her pills. "Taylor vehemently denies it and so does Ridge, but Brooke isn't buying any of it," says Moss. "It's during this conversation that Brooke finally realizes Ridge was self medicating, that it wasn't Taylor feeding him the pills."
This leads to a startling realization for Brooke: Ridge will never get past Rick. "This is a huge epiphany for Brooke," observes Moss. "She wants to be with Ridge, but she's also willing to make the sacrifice of not being with him if he'd be happier elsewhere."
That's when Brooke suggests that Ridge reunite with Taylor. "Both Taylor and Ridge are in shock," says Moss. "But this isn't what Ridge wants. He does not want Logan to leave. She then gives a very eloquent speech about their love. It's extremely loving and after that, she leaves."
OWEN'S WEDDING AMBUSH
Owen whisks Jackie away on a romantic trip to Hawaii - on the same island where Nick and Bridget are honeymooning. "It's purely a coincidence," insists Brandon Beemer. "Nick and Bridget never said where they're going. It was a big secret, so Owen had no idea. He and Jackie even check into the same hotel where Nick and Bridget are staying."
A few hilarious near-misses between the couple ensue. "At one point they're even in the pool at the same time, but there's a hedge between them," Beemer chuckles.
While Bridget is later jogging on the beach, she runs into Owen. "She's really suspicious about why Owen would bring Jackie there," says Beemer. "Bridget thinks Owen is up to something, so he tells her, 'Why would I want to be near a man that hates me?' So she gets it."
Owen doesn't reveal to Bridget that he has planned a traditional Hawaiian wedding on the beach for Jackie. Later, he surprises her with the nups and "Jackie says okay."
Meanwhile, Bridget figures out what Owen is up to and tattles to Nick. "He's really upset and determined to stop the wedding," Beemer smiles. "So we'll just see if Nick gets there in time."

SOW (7/7/09):
RIDGE TO BROOKE: "I SLEPT WITH Taylor!"
Ridge makes a wrenching confession to Brooke this week, which leads her to a surprising revelation of her own: Ridge and Taylor should reunite!
"It's a heartbreaking moment. You can see the heartbreak in Brooke's eyes. She thinks he is going to tell her he's coming home, but instead he confesses this huge thing to her - the one thing that will devastate her beyond belief," sighs Ronn Moss.
So why even tell her that he and Taylor made love? "He made a vow that there would never be any secrets between them," points out Moss. "That's something they've held onto for quite some time now, something that makes them think they can overcome any obstacle."
This obstacle, however, just may be too big. "The conversation doesn't go the way Ridge thought it would, and he's actually taken aback at her initial and final reactions," admits Moss. "Brooke flies out of the house and Ridge knows she's going to confront Taylor. She absolutely blames Taylor for sabotaging their marriage and knowingly giving him pills - too many pills. She accuses Taylor of taking advantage."
But after the blowout with her rival, Brooke realizes that Ridge turned to pills all on his own, so burdened was he by Phoebe's death, Rick's involvement, and his own personal trauma. "Finally Brooke sees the truth, the raw truth: that Ridge has not found an outlet for his grief for Phoebe's death and that Ridge cannot love her unconditionally because he cannot forgive Rick and Rick is a part of Brooke," explains Moss.
So Brooke tells Ridge and Taylor they should reunite and heal the wounds in their family. "She realizes what Ridge needs is Taylor, because they share in their loss of Phoebe and they understand each other. It's powerful stuff," previews Moss. "Ridge is crushed by Brooke's words, because he doesn't want to give up on their love. Yet he realizes what she's saying is true."
But can Ridge really turn his back on his family with Brooke to be with Taylor, Thomas and Steffy?" No, he can't abandon one family over another, and that issue is actually talked about by Brooke and Ridge during Brooke's amazing speech," assures Ridge.
No matter what happens in this tormented triangle, Moss can't say enough about his two leading ladies, Katherine Kelly Lang and Hunter Tylo. "The scenes are very emotional, and it's wonderful to be able to share them with wonderful actresses like Kelly and Hunter," he smiles. "The scenes aren't easy, because they are rooted in pain and heartache. But having worked with Kelly and Hunter for so long makes it easier to get into character - because off-set we are Ronn, Kelly and Hunter but together on-set we immediately become Ridge, Brooke and Taylor." "

Message:
Once again Taylor gets a man by default, and no doubt if Ridge does get back with her, it will not be for long b/c inevitably Bell will see to it that Ridge will want Brooke back (just like Baby Jack was used as a writing ploy to break up Nick and Taylor, who were doing just fine until Taylor was carrying Brooke's egg!).
The machinations Bell goes through to see to it lately that if Taylor gets a man, it's only b/c Brooke has washed her hair of him is sickening.
Back in the day, when Junior's parents ran this show, Taylor had love interests of her own (the best example being Pierce Petersen, sigh . . . ) and in those days as well, Ridge was with her because he loved her and wanted to be with her. But Bell Jr, because he treats the women on this show like garbage anyway, writes it so Taylor can only get a man on the rebound and/or if he is drugged up.
I hate it.

Stephanie urges Taylor not to give up. Oh my! This woman sure doesn´t have a clue to when it´s time to quit pushing does she? Even Brooke saw the light and gave Ridge his freedom because her love for him made her wanting the best for him, but Stephanie puts HER own wishes above every one else´s as usual, gee this woman is one old crazy fool. It´s like she´s immune of learning and growing, even selfabsorbed Brooke has grown past her.

Message: Aahhhh, let the misery for Ridge & Taylor begin. I will bask in the glory of what will be nothing but Ridge longing for Brooke(which Taylor will know), only to be saddled with Taylor, his very distant second choice, & Taylor, who will very loosely ''have'' Ridge, but who will know all along that she got him only by default & that his heart belongs to Brooke. Ridge will stay with Taylor(for two minutes) for several reasons(all of which Taylor will know)....out of family obligation & so they can share in the mourning of Phoebe's death, because his ''Mommy'' wants him to, & because of the fact that Ridge can't be alone & figures something is better than nothing, even if it's not what you really want. Taylor will know that Ridge doesn't love her the way she loves him & that he yearns(EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF EVERY SINGLE DAY) to be with Brooke, who he is truly in love with, not her. Yes, this will be a very hollow victory for Taylor & a miserable trade off for Ridge. I'm quite sure Ridge will realize that even though the goal of Rick being out of his immediate life will have been met, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
