SOD (7/7/09 Issue)....

RIDGE CONFESSES TO BROOKE

Having promised Taylor that he would keep mum about their one-night stand (he was hopped up on anti-anxiety medication when it happened), Ridge then decides to come clean with Brooke, after all."He loves Brooke and he's always promised there would be no secrets between them," reasons Ronn Moss.

Not surprisingly Taylor, who was humiliated that Ridge only made love to her because of the pills, isn't in favor of him clearing his conscience. "Taylor is heartbroken and urges him to keep their secret," says Moss. "But Ridge tells her that he needs to be honest with Brooke about what happened." Taylor eventually gives in because, notes Moss, "She realizes Ridge not telling Brooke will only cause him more pain and she doesn't want that for him."

After Nick and Bridget's wedding, Ridge and Brooke spend some alone time together. "He tells her everything and she's devastated," explains Moss. "She can't believe what she is hearing! She had just thanked Taylor for taking care of Ridge and being there for him during this difficult time. Now she feels like a fool."

The fact that Ridge was taking Taylor's medicine does little to lessen Brooke's pain - and anger. "After Ridge tells her the truth and Brooke has said a few choice words to him, she flies out of the house," sets up Moss. "Of course, Ridge knows that she's on her way to confront Taylor."

Ridge heads over to Taylor's house, too, where Brooke accuses the shrink of manipulating Ridge with her pills. "Taylor vehemently denies it and so does Ridge, but Brooke isn't buying any of it," says Moss. "It's during this conversation that Brooke finally realizes Ridge was self medicating, that it wasn't Taylor feeding him the pills."

This leads to a startling realization for Brooke: Ridge will never get past Rick. "This is a huge epiphany for Brooke," observes Moss. "She wants to be with Ridge, but she's also willing to make the sacrifice of not being with him if he'd be happier elsewhere."

That's when Brooke suggests that Ridge reunite with Taylor. "Both Taylor and Ridge are in shock," says Moss. "But this isn't what Ridge wants. He does not want Logan to leave. She then gives a very eloquent speech about their love. It's extremely loving and after that, she leaves."

OWEN'S WEDDING AMBUSH

Owen whisks Jackie away on a romantic trip to Hawaii - on the same island where Nick and Bridget are honeymooning. "It's purely a coincidence," insists Brandon Beemer. "Nick and Bridget never said where they're going. It was a big secret, so Owen had no idea. He and Jackie even check into the same hotel where Nick and Bridget are staying."

A few hilarious near-misses between the couple ensue. "At one point they're even in the pool at the same time, but there's a hedge between them," Beemer chuckles.

While Bridget is later jogging on the beach, she runs into Owen. "She's really suspicious about why Owen would bring Jackie there," says Beemer. "Bridget thinks Owen is up to something, so he tells her, 'Why would I want to be near a man that hates me?' So she gets it."

Owen doesn't reveal to Bridget that he has planned a traditional Hawaiian wedding on the beach for Jackie. Later, he surprises her with the nups and "Jackie says okay."

Meanwhile, Bridget figures out what Owen is up to and tattles to Nick. "He's really upset and determined to stop the wedding," Beemer smiles. "So we'll just see if Nick gets there in time."

SPOILERS

July 2 - The end of an era for two longtime nemeses, Brooke and Stephanie, arrives at a most unlikely time.

July 3 - Nick's fears are realized. Stephanie basks in her glorious triumph.

Stephanie urges Taylor not to give up.

Wedding bells ring.

SOW (7/7/09):

RIDGE TO BROOKE: "I SLEPT WITH Taylor!"

Ridge makes a wrenching confession to Brooke this week, which leads her to a surprising revelation of her own: Ridge and Taylor should reunite!

"It's a heartbreaking moment. You can see the heartbreak in Brooke's eyes. She thinks he is going to tell her he's coming home, but instead he confesses this huge thing to her - the one thing that will devastate her beyond belief," sighs Ronn Moss.

So why even tell her that he and Taylor made love? "He made a vow that there would never be any secrets between them," points out Moss. "That's something they've held onto for quite some time now, something that makes them think they can overcome any obstacle."

This obstacle, however, just may be too big. "The conversation doesn't go the way Ridge thought it would, and he's actually taken aback at her initial and final reactions," admits Moss. "Brooke flies out of the house and Ridge knows she's going to confront Taylor. She absolutely blames Taylor for sabotaging their marriage and knowingly giving him pills - too many pills. She accuses Taylor of taking advantage."

But after the blowout with her rival, Brooke realizes that Ridge turned to pills all on his own, so burdened was he by Phoebe's death, Rick's involvement, and his own personal trauma. "Finally Brooke sees the truth, the raw truth: that Ridge has not found an outlet for his grief for Phoebe's death and that Ridge cannot love her unconditionally because he cannot forgive Rick and Rick is a part of Brooke," explains Moss.

So Brooke tells Ridge and Taylor they should reunite and heal the wounds in their family. "She realizes what Ridge needs is Taylor, because they share in their loss of Phoebe and they understand each other. It's powerful stuff," previews Moss. "Ridge is crushed by Brooke's words, because he doesn't want to give up on their love. Yet he realizes what she's saying is true."

But can Ridge really turn his back on his family with Brooke to be with Taylor, Thomas and Steffy?" No, he can't abandon one family over another, and that issue is actually talked about by Brooke and Ridge during Brooke's amazing speech," assures Ridge.

No matter what happens in this tormented triangle, Moss can't say enough about his two leading ladies, Katherine Kelly Lang and Hunter Tylo. "The scenes are very emotional, and it's wonderful to be able to share them with wonderful actresses like Kelly and Hunter," he smiles. "The scenes aren't easy, because they are rooted in pain and heartache. But having worked with Kelly and Hunter for so long makes it easier to get into character - because off-set we are Ronn, Kelly and Hunter but together on-set we immediately become Ridge, Brooke and Taylor." "

Once again Taylor gets a man by default, and no doubt if Ridge does get back with her, it will not be for long b/c inevitably Bell will see to it that Ridge will want Brooke back (just like Baby Jack was used as a writing ploy to break up Nick and Taylor, who were doing just fine until Taylor was carrying Brooke's egg!).

The machinations Bell goes through to see to it lately that if Taylor gets a man, it's only b/c Brooke has washed her hair of him is sickening.

Back in the day, when Junior's parents ran this show, Taylor had love interests of her own (the best example being Pierce Petersen, sigh . . . ) and in those days as well, Ridge was with her because he loved her and wanted to be with her.  But Bell Jr, because he treats the women on this show like garbage anyway, writes it so Taylor can only get a man on the rebound and/or if he is drugged up.

I hate it.

Stephanie urges Taylor not to give up. Oh my! This woman sure doesn´t have a clue to when it´s time to quit pushing does she? Even Brooke saw the light and gave Ridge his freedom because her love for him made her wanting the best for him, but Stephanie puts HER own wishes above every one else´s as usual, gee this woman is one old crazy fool. It´s like she´s immune of learning and growing, even selfabsorbed Brooke has grown past her.

Aahhhh, let the misery for Ridge & Taylor begin. I will bask in the glory of what will be nothing but Ridge longing for Brooke(which Taylor will know), only to be saddled with Taylor, his very distant second choice, & Taylor, who will very loosely ''have'' Ridge, but who will know all along that she got him only by default & that his heart belongs to Brooke. Ridge will stay with Taylor(for two minutes) for several reasons(all of which Taylor will know)....out of family obligation & so they can share in the mourning of Phoebe's death, because his ''Mommy'' wants him to, & because of the fact that Ridge can't be alone & figures something is better than nothing, even if it's not what you really want. Taylor will know that Ridge doesn't love her the way she loves him & that he yearns(EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF EVERY SINGLE DAY) to be with Brooke, who he is truly in love with, not her. Yes, this will be a very hollow victory for Taylor & a miserable trade off for Ridge. I'm quite sure Ridge will realize that even though the goal of Rick being out of his immediate life will have been met, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

  • I'm not sold on the ''yearning every single moment of everyday'' bit but I agree with you that Ridge cannot stand to be alone and will settle for Taylor as his second choice. Why she'd even want him given their history is anyone's guess but that can be said about Crooke, too. ~i&b
  • Mark my words, he will. Ridge will be able to think of little else than Brooke. Guarantee it sure won't be Taylor filling his thoughts, daydreams, desires, or Taylor fulfilling his life. And Heaven forbid Brooke becomes involved with someone....Ridge will pay even less attention to his saddle, Taylor. Ridge may not be able to live with Brooke, but God knows he can't live without her. BFF
  • I agree Crooke is Ridge's first choice but if she were the center of his universe as you claim, they wouldn't have gotten divorced from each other 10 times. Ridge wants Crooke when he can't have her and when he does have her, it never lasts. ~i&b
  • I agree. If Brooke were as important to him as he claims he wouldn't have kept the license thing a secret and he sure as heck wouldn't have slept with Taylor no many how many pills he took. Brooke is Ridge's first choice, but I don't think Ridge's love for her is as epic as some would like to believe. eom Linny

This leads to a startling realization for Brooke: Ridge will never get past Rick.

Where has this bimbo been for the last 6 months?

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • By bimbo i guess you mean Taylor.LMAO.Way to go Brooke, let Ridge AND Stephanie keep humilating Taylor.flowergirl
  • Nice try, but I know you're not really that clueless. ~i&b
  • The only bimbo on B&B these days is Taylor. Lot's of dumb women on B&B, but only one current bimbo, & that's obviously Taylor(& a dumb, desperate, pathetic, beggin'-ass, one at that.) BFF
  • We all get that you two hate Taylor, you don't have to repeat it in every single post. But the line I quoted was quite obviously about Crooke, who for months now has had her head in the sand about the depth of Ridge's feelings regarding Rick. That has been the storyline for six months now. Pretending otherwise doesn't change that. ~i&b
  • LOL, BFF. ''Bimbo'' should be Taylor's middle name. Her first name should be ''Pathetic
  • Oh please i&b, you got a lot of nerve, you who, in just about every post, call Brooke ''Crooke.'' Hey i&b, we all know you hate Brooke, but you don't have to repeat it in every single post !! I guess it's ok for some Brooke haters to spew their hatred for Brooke in every post, but now that it's Taylor's turn(and yes ma'am, it's her turn) you want to presume to tell people they ''don't need to repeat it in every single post''....I sure as hell don't EVER see you making that comment/directive/order to any Brooke hater & their repetitive Brooke hater stuff in ''every single post.'' What is it ya'll say....''it's the hypocricy.'' Works both ways i&b, so if it's good enough for you anit-Brookie's, it's good enough for we pro-Brookie's. Furthermore, neither flowergirl nor myself ''repeat it in every single post'' so stop exaggerating. But, I get it, it sucks that the shoe is on the other foot now, now that Taylor is in the hot seat, now that Taylor is the nasty one doing crap & is now the one taking crap from people because she's the current hated one, but she is, and as you say....''pretending otherwise doesn't change that.'' Get back with me after you have chatised any of your cronies about their repetitive Brooke hatin' & bashing. Until then, suck it up on us repeating hatred for Taylor, cause' you don't have a leg to stand on, on this one. BFF
  • One thing that gets me is that some Brooke fans like to downplay Brooke's shortcomings, ie she was following her heart which meant everything she did while she was following her heart ok. Taylor followed her heart and slept with Ridge. Yet a number of Brooke fans have said that Taylor drugged him up, which she didn't do. Yet because Ridge took the pills from her purse without her knowing it, it's still Taylor's drugging him up. That's what I don't understand. If she was slipping the pills in his drink, then I could see those comments. But that's not how it happened. Also Brooke fans saying Taylor ran down Darla. She didn't run Darla down, Darla fell into the road directly in front of Taylor's car. Even a professional race car driver wouldn't have been able to avoid that accident. She had been drinking, but that did not contribute to the cause of the accident. That's the problem I have with a lot of these comments.
  • Yes gogodiva, you're right, some Brooke fans do say those things. But fortunately, many of us, do not do that & instead, completely recognize Brooke's shortcomings, are well willing to acknowledge & admit those shortcomings, & call Brooke out on them. By that token, there are some Taylor fans who are unbiased enough to recognize & acknowledge Taylor's shortcomings & call her out on them. But, as I'm quite sure you know well & good that many of you are not able to do that & instead, just continue to make excuse after excuse for Taylor. Excuses like....''well, Brooke has done the same thing'' or ''Brooke has done worse than Taylor, so it's ok'' or ''it's ok because of the things Brooke has done,'' etc., etc., etc., blah, blah, blah(nothing but sorry excuses.) You know the one's I'm talking about, as you, yourself have pulled out a couple of those in an attempt to absolve Taylor of blame. So it sure works both ways, some Taylor fans make excuses for Taylor's shortcomings & twist the truth on some of Brooke's stuff, just like some Brooke fans make excuses for her shortcomings & twist the truth on some of the things Taylor has done. So, you're definately waaaaay off base if you think it's just some Brooke fans that do that because it's most definately some of your people who do it also. I think it must be hard for some Taylor fans, watching the shoe now being worn by Taylor & watching her in the hot seat, as it was for most of us Brooke fans every time she was being the jerk & the one whose behind was sitting in the hot seat. Two way street gogodiva, two way street. BFF
  • BFF, GREAT posts!!!
  • BFF, in all fairness, it's not just your posts that drive me nuts sometimes so I'm sorry if I came across as singling you out; it was actually not just your comments that annoyed me. Responding to what you said, I do call her Crooke but that's not evidence of much seeing how I call Stephanie ''Big Mama'', Eric ''Ear Wax'', Donna ''Donut'', Thorne ''Throne'', etc. It's no secret that I dislike Crooke, I mean Brooke, but, unlike some people with Taylor, I've also given her credit when it's due, expressed sympathy for her at times, and I've commented more than once on how Ridge is wrong to expect her to cut her own son out of her life. But if you travel the board and read my posts, you will see discussion and not just a barrage of name calling in topic after topic. The repetition of those one-note posts has gotten old. The ironic thing about this is I'm not even a big Taylor fan, I've always been fairly ambivalent about her. I just don't care about her one way or the other, never have. So she's not even the issue as far as I'm concerned. I'd feel the same way whether it was her or Donut or, yes, even Crooke. ~i&b
  • Yes, BFF, I can see where you are so unbiased on your comments about Brooke and Taylor. Personally, I don't remember stating anything about Brooke that wasn't true. Even as dumb as Taylor has been, she's not been the selfish, promiscuous, dim-witted twit that Brooke has been. She's been the biggest, whiniest bimbo on this show, always trying to get Ridge in her bed. She loves to sleep with her daughter's husbands, and just how many children has she had where paternity was questioned? 2 out of 4, or 50%. One there was no question of - that was her daughter's husband's child. And her last son she conceived the day of her husband's death, or what she thought was her husband's death. She has never respected Ridge's marriage or relationships to other women. She was with Nick, but couldn't stand for Ridge to be involved with another woman (Ashley), so she breaks up his happy relationship with her. She couldn't stand that Taylor and Nick were together, so she took every little opportunity to break up that relationship. In her world, she's the only one who deserves to be happy. There are lots of reasons that I don't like Brooke. But none of what I have said is wrong. She actually did all those things. Taylor however has not drugged Ridge and did not run Darla down. And I don't know how many times I've said I don't like the way they are writing Taylor's character these days. But these last few days I have seen some redemption. She thought Ridge slept with her because he wanted to be with her, not because he was drugged up. She's not trying to use this to get Ridge back, or say he wouldn't have done it if he didn't want to, drugs or no. That is something I think Brooke would do. She wouldn't care that he had taken pills, she'd try to convince him that he wanted to be with her. So therein for me lies the difference between these two characters.
  • And i&b, glad we are on the same page here, because it is certainly not just your posts, one note names, or comments about Brooke that drive me equally nuts sometimes, as a few others occasionally do as well, but I can live with it though as it's just part of having & discussing thoughts & opinions. But still, there is the issue of your chastising myself & flowergirl, when, once again, I have never seen you chastise or berate any of your fellow Brooke haters about some of their incessant barrages of one note tirades, name calling, or slamming of Brooke they done over the years. Did their one note posts about Brooke for years not become old ? I guess not. Therefore, yes, you are singling out because if you weren't, you would have berated & chatised them & their one noter posts a long time ago. P.S., kudos on your sarcasm in your previous post to me, just above this one. I can work with sarcasm, after all.....it takes one sarcastic poster to recognize another sarcastic poster. : )BFF
  • Excuse me, just scooting through, but I must shout out ... BFF, you ROCK!! ~tbit
  • I aim to please t-bit, LOL. Thanks for the shout out !! : ) BFF
  • I'm with you i&b, Brooke's sudden ''realization'' is a little dimwitted to say the least. How many times has he screamed that he will NEVER get over Rick and the things he's done. I think he's told her every time they talk about him. So now Brooke is just 'getting it' ? GMAB! eom Linny
  • gogodiva, Taylor's a pathetic, needy, clingy shrew and she knew damned well that Ridge still loved Brooke the night that he simply TOLD her, ''It's time we take this to the bedroom''. She simply did not care! She wanted him any way she could get him. Even back when he walked out on her, filed for divorce and told her that he loved Brooke and had ALWAYS loved Brooke, Taylor sat in a bar with Nick and told him she didn't care, she just wanted him back. Their is NOTHING dignified about Taylor. She's a consummate victim and a manipulator. She, along with her co-witch in crime, plotted and planned this whole thing each and every step of the way. The only one showing any dignity is Brooke, who walks away from the whole damn thing. What I cannot wait for is the day that Ridge dumps Taylor on her butt as he goes chasing behind Brooke again.
