Additional Comments: Marcus mentioned something the other day about Ridge being his half/step brother because of Donna and Eric being married.
How long before Donna tries to get Eric to adopt him and give him the Forrester name? if not adoption, the name change I fully anticipate her to suggest. that is, of course, if they stay together.

Message: Maybe I better clarify what I originally wrote as there seems to be confusion. I originally stated adopt, but also had NAME CHANGE. I am not sure, but it seems like a name change can happen by anyone without an adoption and considering his age, adoption would most likely not happen.
I am suggesting that after a while here, Donna will probably suggest that he take her married name as her son. Maybe not, tho.

I don't think it would go that far for Eric to offer his name to Marcus or let alone seeing Marcus accept, he's not about that. I see a more logical sceniero of Marcus adopting the Logan name though.
A better bet would be to see if Donna and Eric make it to their first Annversary.

I don't see it coming though, even then. As an adult, he doesn't have to be an actual Forrester for Eric to give him Forrester "perks." I mean, he could make Marcus a beneficiary on his will, for example, name or not (actually, he could a minor too.)
Nah, I see that happening before anything about a name change.
I mean, let's say Donna always knew about him, as did Eric. When they married, I don't see her suddenly saying to her grown son "now you're a Forrester too!"

I think once you're an adult the only way to legally change your last name is either through marriage, divorce, or court proceedings that you initiate yourself. But I don't think it would be considered "adoption" at that age.
