Newest update (I'm copying the same one I put on the ATWT PT board.)

Red is doing a little better, but still on pain meds.   Jesse is getting better and snorting!  Chad is keeping after Britteny's eating.   (She totally agreed that Chad has a full time job going with all of them!)  Here's the last part of what she said in her email!

Thank you so much for all the support and thanks to all who prayed for us.  I appreciate it so much.  It might be a while until I get back into posting on the boards.   I cant wait to get back into it again.  I need to start watching the shows again too.   Am I missing anything good?

(You can tell she's raring to get back after Fluffy and Brooke and St. Horley!)

NEWEST update from today (2/20)

OK, I heard this morning.   Red had to have some surgery, and is at home recovering now.   Baby still very sick, but she thinks the congestion is starting to break up some; is still watching him very closely.   Brittany is down from a size 12 to a size 7!   She is just really stretched in so many directions having to watch out for everything!   Sounds like she still DEFINITELY needs the prayers!

  • My goodness! So much for Red to have to deal with! I will definitely keep her and her family in my prayers. What is wrong with lilred's daughter, Brittany, Fee? How old is she? My heart goes out to red. Please let her know that we are thinking of her and praying for them. And, please keep us informed ..... pineapple
  • Britteny is her daughter who is 9, and a cheerleader at school. She has an eating disorder. The girl was a perfect size; not large at all. In the cheerleading squad, they told her she was too big to do something or other (which is totally unbelievable to me as she wasn't large in the LEAST), and that seemed to start the eating disorder. The school didn't help any when they had a body fat mass index done on all the children, and all this just made her worse. She's been having quite a time with her for months now trying to get her to eat. It's been really awful for her. But she needs to watch her all the time, which will be hard while she's down and the baby is sick. It's a really tough time for her! fee

This is from late this morning.   Haven't heard from her since.

Thanks fee,  We are home now but I am still on edge with him.  He has such a horrible cough.  I have him on the meds religiously and I don't think I have put him down for a whole 5 minutes at a time.  He still has no voice but it doesn't stop him from trying.  He can still snort though when hes mad and that is a relief.

I am taking him to our family doctor for a follow up appointment today.  He still isn't 100% and They told me to not expect total recovery for a week.  We are hanging in there.  I was told to get some sleep because I am about to crash and burn.  So I will keep you updated on his condition.

Oh my gosh, Fee.  I'll be praying for Red and for Jesse.

We were at the emergency room ourselves, with Marina, very early Sunday morning.  She's just been getting over strep-throat, and then she started out with a cough Friday afternoon.  By early Saturday evening she was congested.  Around midnight she could hardly even breathe and she was wheezing very badly.  They gave her three breathing treatments, steroids and antibiotics in the ER.  A chest x-ray showed that she had a ''touch'' of pneumonia in her right lung.  The doctor thought long and hard about admitting her, but he sent her home with a prescription for steroids, antibiotics and an albuterol breathing treatment.  I still don't like the way her chest sounds, so I'm taking her in to her doctor in the morning.

I hope Red's baby doesn't have pneumonia.  His medications are identical to Marina's, except for the breathing treatments.  Let us know anything as soon as you hear from her, and let her know that her friends on the board are praying for them.
