Additional Comments: The sequence when she freaked out with Chad and then pulled herself together when Nicole held her. How on earth did they do that? It was pure genius.

This this may have been the first time she'd seen Casey/Chad (in reality) so to be handed to a stranger, look into his face, and be genuinely scared, then feel safe again with Ari/Nicole would be a natural response from a baby of this age. They often have separation anxiety when the ones they feel safe with are not in their range of vision. That was a real little shaky fearful sob she made, when she was back in her arms. It sounded like ''That...was...so...scarey''

Heck -- I think little Sydney is the BEST actress on the whole darn show!! To think that little actress is TONS more intriguing than Chloe or Stephanie. REALLY!!

well its 2 babies playing Sydney so they might of cut the tape and got the other one in who was cranky. Or they might of pinched the baby, to maker her fussy.

Yes, maybe. But when she was back with Nicole, she was sort of recovering with the odd little sob until she settled down. It was very realistic.

More likely they either had one that was cranky or they waited until it was about nap time, or meal time to tape the scene. Remember, there are social workers on the set at all times w/minor children & they would tend to frown on pinching, hitting or other physical ways of getting the child to respond for a scene. eom

The twins are at an age where babies are often leary about being held by a stranger and the Chad actor is a stranger. I imagine the director knew what the reaction would be and took time and maybe several takes to get Sydney to react negatively to Chad. The relief of being handed back to Nicole was very natural.
