I am so SICK with the direction of the show. This Higley person and KC have once again shown that they make a truly SUCKY combination-(sorry bout the language folks)

Lucas, Chloe, and Chelsea are now ruined in my eyes.

Chelsea-She's completely reverted back to being the idiot she was when she first came on. Her and that doctor are barf. I don't like them, but it's apparent that KC expects us to like them. TOO BAD CORDAY. I guess we're supposed to take away that Chelsea just can't change and grow up. JMHO

To a certain extent, I could really care less about Chelsea because she's been shallow and dumb pretty much since the beginning due to shi!!y writing. It's mainly the next ones that explain how angry I am with the direction of this show.

Lucas-His whiny, childish behavior has worn my nerves thin since he returned. Now Dena Higely pulls some stupid Lucas/Chloe pairing out of her ass and expects us to follow along. Lucas has just become some selfish little prick. He needs to go back to jail. (And I've been a fan of Lucas and Sami for years, but I'm done)

Chloe-I used to have a lot of respect for this character when she first came on. She used to be one of my favorites. She seemed genuinely like a good person, and was very intelligent (afterall she was valedictorian at the high school graduation). She wasn't materialistic, snooty, or mean. Now all she's been reduced to a typical slut with no substance, and that pisses me off cause I really liked her back in the day.

Stefano's return at this point is the only thing keeping me hopeful, and it better be daggone spectacular. Yes, it better be spectacular. The only way I can show you how furious I am with the writing of the show is to use big font, so here goes. Oh, and thanks to everyone that's read this post to hear me vent. I know we don't all agree, but this Monday show was horsesh!t.

HEY Corday and Dena!!!! Stop your character destruction!!! Don't you guys realize you SUCK as producer and headwriter for this show. Anyone on this board could write better than you two dimwits.

And how about that flashback, how long was it, 15 minutes? The mother of all flashbacks. I'm sure glad these two weren't in charge in Alice and Tom's heyday. They would have had Tom bedding down every nurse in the hospital and Alice would have been working the street corner. I guess there will be no more super couples.

There was ONE wonderfully comical moment, though, just before Kate came in it was I think. Dan and Chelsea are sucking face in the corner of a family gathering and everybody sees it and just looks ill.
I wish I had a screen shot of that! I'd like to make a postcard of it and send it back to the writers with a note, "Welcome to our world" signed "Days watchers".
I do think we're going to find out....oh so slowly and with great boredom, since this is Days we're talking about...that Daniel is some kind of blood relative of Chelsea's. He would really have to be her brother don't you think? For Kate to behave this way?
And then we have the problem, Daniel looks way too old for Chelsea...and way to old to be Kate's son (even though we know Kate looks like that because she's had so much work done).
Anyhow, I'm sure that's where this story is going.

I missed that day due to an electrical surge knocking out my VCR. I wish I could see that look you desribe.

I think it is possible that Daniel could be Kate's son, by, who knows who, which would make hime Chelsea's blood uncle (unlike Max and Stephanie) and Phillip and Luca's half brother. Haven't we been here before...........a million times. Doesn't SOMEONE HAVE SOME NEW MATERIAL FOR SL, OPPORTUNITIES!

Monday's show threw me for a loop too. What was wrong with Kate? We all know she is a total control freak when it comes to her kid's love lives but is she now going to obsess over Chelsea too or has she been boinking Daniel herself and the ick factor is too much for her? I thought it was really weird both she and Victor were so adamantly against the Dr. Dan/Chelsea pairing when it was Victor himself who brought him to Salem in the first place. The only character that I thought displayed any depth other than maybe Marlena when she semi-cursed ("By God.) after all these years of "Oh my gosh-ing" was Nicole. I think her scenes with E.J. may have been the best work I've seen the actress do. I was on one of my self-imposed strikes from the show when all the stuff about her being in porn movies and stuff happened so all I've ever really seen the character do is booze it up and scheme on how to get rich off of someone else's fortune. On a separate matter I saw a fairly lengthy trailer advertising the show this morning and they were on an actual LOCATION SHOOT! I could hardly believe my eyes. Granted, it was just some outdoor scenes shot at the beach and at a carnival somewhere with rides but they actually WENT somewhere instead of creating some phony island scene on a soundstage. I'm not going to get too excited because it will probably be something gross involving Chelsea and Dr. Dan hooking up but it looked really good. They appeared to be having a cook out or picnic so maybe they were filming the Labor Day show.

I know what you mean about the quotation marks Ald; I think we've all been burned many times by forgetting that little snafu when responding or at least I know I have. That is cool Theda if the location shot was at the Santa Monica Pier and it makes perfect sense; trick the viewers into thinking they sprang for some pricey location shot when they actually probably just loaded up cars and drove down Wilshire. I'm not sure where the Days studio is but I'm sure it can't be that far from West Hollywood or the Pier. I loved Sami today when she discovered not one but BOTH of the men she's been stringing along have hooked up with other women and she can't really complain too much since she has been doing more waffling than the local IHOP when it comes to picking who she wants to be with. eom. I'm certainly no fan of HS, but the mess has been around far longer than he was around! He can't be blamed for over 20 yrs of the ruining of characters--KC HAS been around that long & longer. He also has creative control, so content is far more his doing than any HW of the last 20+ yrs.

I don't see anyone having the control to change things, except KC & he has been happy w/things being this way as long as he has been in control! There haven't been any changes for the better, on any level & there won't be as long as KC sees the status quo as being the best the show has to offer.

I like the idea of Chloe and Lucas. but don't like Nicole and EJ together. Maybe Lucas' attitude will change and he can become a happy person. Sami has cause so much confusion, maybe it time to settle these S/L amd move on to new ones.

To me it looks like the writers are trying to put and end to it. Give them time, after all they have to clean up HS mess. jmo

Monday's show really made me angry too.

Although I REALLY don't like the idea of Chelsea and Dan dating, it still could have been an okay story line. HOWEVER, after having to watch Chelsea and Dan have a heavy make out session at a family gathering, I'm completely done with them. Who does that? No matter what your age, really, who sucks face with their boyfriend in front of their entire family? Especially when you know that no one approves? And we're supposed to believe that Chelsea has grown up? It was very "in your face" to me. And Dan is inexcusable in his behavior, not to mention exatly what Lexi said to him. One minute he's trying to get out of Salem and the next he's fighting for his love? Excuse me while I throw up my breakfast! I just don't know what else to say with these two. I don't know if they have many fans, but I don't see much of a future for them. (Please writers, or I may never keep food down again!)

Chloe and Lucas, sigh. I am horribly disappointed in Lucas. I too have been a Lumi fan for years but ever since Lucas got out of jail, I can't stand him. This pairing just makes no sense at all to me. I can understand that Lucas may just be horny and figures that as soon as they're rescued his butt is headed back to jail so why not sleep with her? I think maybe it's also a little revenge sex, to even things out with Sami? What the heck is Chloe's excuse? It just makes her look like a slut, just like you said. I'm really hoping that this was a one time thing for these two as I saw NO chemistry and really can't stomach his pairing.

Now, there was one thing I did like about yesterday. I really like EJ and Nicole together. I think the actors do great together and I really think the characters could do well together. I would love to see a long lasting relationship between these two. They would be a powerful, don't mess with us, yet funny couple. I say, EJ needs to give up on Sami and move on with Nicole. There's so much potential with them!

As for the writers, they need to just stick with something. I think that alot of the fans' issues are simply because we've been bouncing between writers so often over the past few years. You can't possibly have characters and stories that make sense with that going on!
